Hi everyone Im glad to say I got out of the right side of the bed this morning 😀 I've spent most of the day with DD1 because it was her birthday today. We started the day off by going out for breakfast then went to Neals Yard to buy oil for the electric diffuser I got her for her birthday, we also went to the Body Shop and I bought myself a bottle of their Mandarin body spray,I love the smell of this spray,it's so uplifting and fresh 😍😍we then came back to my house for DGs2 to have a nap followed by playing with toys for an hour or so before they had to go home. It was a nice day all in all 😊
This afternoon/ evening I hoovered and polished the house then I went out and swept the patio so it's all looking tidy again. I got my chairs out the loft last week so we can sit out if the sun decides to stick around 🤞🤞I looked at patio furniture last night because although my table is ok all but one of my chairs have broken, I really only need to replace the chairs this year as I think the table will last at least one more summer if not more, anyway I couldn't find any I liked apart from some in ikea that were sold out. Everything I looked at was sold out so I'm going to leave it for now and just keep taking my dining chairs outside, they are more comfortable than patio chairs anyway 😀I do need to get a parasol though so must order one at some pointOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
Please don’t feel guilty about DGC. I am an older mum (49) and I find my two hard work (8 & 6) so I can imagine how I will feel in a few years time. When we had the boys my in-laws were insistent that they did not want a regular commitment in helping to look after the boys which we fully respected however my mum & dad& stepmum said they would do the three days I would be working between them - I wouldn’t let them. They did a day each & nursery did the other day. I wanted them to enjoy their day and it not become a chore because small children are bloomin hard work! X0

I saw on the news that outdoor furniture is in short supply. Something to do with high demand and breaks in the supply chain. They’ll probably all have loads in when the weather is bad again! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thats a good way of looking at it. I was finding it a chore and it it was colouring my view of my poor DGC. If it wasn't for my health problems I think I would find it easier but just going to work can seriously wipe me out so I don't have anything in reserve 🙁BalanceBy50 said:Please don’t feel guilty about DGC. I also saw this news report but thought maybe they were exaggerating ...erm no they are not 😀I've decided to keep what I've got now then buy some off season when it's going to be more available then I will be ready for next year when my current table finally collapses 😀WinterWarrior said:I saw on the news that outdoor furniture is in short supply. I don't have any DGCs as yet; if i did i'd be happy to spend time with them but i don't want another career as a childminder !!
