I'm glad you were feeling better and were able to have your feast - that does sound a nice eatery!
Ooh, five days unsupervised! What funI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I was up bright and early today ( well 9am) 😀DD 2 has gone off to Edinburgh for her mini break and I am off to meet my mum in a bit for some lunch. Its a bit of a mixed day weather wise so warm but cloudy with bits of blue sky thrown in for good measure.
I'm going to walk into town because I don't want to sit on a hot stuffy bus unless I have to. Our bus company are now allowing people who don't know each other to share seats so you are literally up close and personal with your neighbour. They have said they are allowed to do it because it's all forward facing seats,no one is allowed to stand up but yesterday I got the bus and it was so full people were standing 😟
I looked after DGS1 yesterday which was interesting😁 we had to go into town so we had lunch on the cathedral green then we went to a big local park where he made a little friend to run round with and I sat chatting to the little friends granny, we were very naughty food wise and had doughnuts then later ice cream, his Mum is very strict with with what he eats and I always abide by her rules but his other gran doesn't so I thought if she can get away with it so can I and if I send him home full of sugar she might not ask me again for a while 😂😂 I do love my grandsons but I work with children all the time so babysitting is not my top thing on a fun list of things to do with my day. I love spending time with them when their parents are there so I can just enjoy them and don't actually have any responsibility
I think it's because I had my children very young so spent the years when I should have been out having fun looking after children,I see now as my time to do that, there's also the health aspect,I do find it very hard work to have a small child for a whole day. I know this makes me sound selfish but that's just the way I feel 🤷♀️

I don't think that you're selfish at all. Small children are very tiring.4

I don't think your selfish either , they are very tiring small children. I love my grandkids and they are very good, but always ready to hand them back at the end of the day.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

I totally agree with you. When I got married everyone kept asking when are you going to have children. My mother never ever did. Once he was 5 it was different, he was a reasonable, reasoning child so that was okay. She wasn't that keen on us when we were babies either. Years later shwe did actually describe bringing us up properly as being a duty!2
