My journey to a debt free life

Yesterday's shopping trip didn't go too well because we couldn't find much and what we tried on didn't look right. I bought some trousers from the Gap outlet store that look like joggers but are cotton, they fit really nicely and are really comfortable, I've been looking for some cool cotton trousers for hot weather for ages and best of all there was 50% off everything in the shop so they were £20 🎉🎉 the ones a bought are a mid blue colour but they had a lovely pale grey pair that sadly weren't in my size
We went to Next and DD much have picked up over a hundred pound worth of cloths to try on but the fitting rooms were still closed so we didn't bother. There was another lady who put a big pile of clothes back too so they must be losing money, all the other shops had their fitting rooms open so I'm wondering if it was a staffing issue
DD did find a really nice little dress and a T-shirt then she came home and ordered loads of stuff online .
We also managed to fit in a Costa visit so all feels ok in my world now😀😀
I wasn't very well last night though with terrible stomach ache and feeling sick, we did buy food for tea and walked home with it in the heat so I'm not sure if it was that,DD also felt a bit queasy too. I still felt sick this morning but it's going now thank god
Im having a day at home painting today with all the doors and windows open because it's a lovely sunny day, the window wall has needed three coats which is a pain 🙀 I'm putting a thicker coat on the wall I'm doing now in the hope I won't have to do another coat on that one
Right coffee is finished so I had better get back to it 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
A friend said her recent clothes-shopping was fruitless too. Perhaps either we or the shops have lost the knack? Surely not! It's annoying though when things are so near and yet so far. The comfy trousers sound just the job, though.
Yay to the Costa - I feel like that about it too.
I hope your poorly stomach is better now, and your painting goes well.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well done on getting lots of painting done OBL
. It's lovely to read about people getting out and about again and doing normal things. I don't think we realised what a strain on us lockdown was as we all adapted, but having our freedom back means a lot
.
I'm pleased you were able to meet your mum for coffee. Your mum sounds just like mine used to be. She used to have a big heavy handbag and I could never work out what she had in there, but I know she always had an address book, two big bunches of keys, a little make up bag and a ton of other stuff. No wonder she used to suffer from aches and pains. I have a cross body bag so that I don't have one hunched up shoulder and I try not to put much in it as I get aches and pains otherwise. I only carry my phone, purse, asthma inhaler, door key, tissues, lipsil and mask. That is literally all I carry. I've even taken all the keys off my keyring apart from my door key. I don't even carry a comb as my hair is wavy and I only comb it twice a day (when I get out of bed and after washing it). My aim is to have a light bag and not have aches and pains

Oh to be able to just comb my hair when I get up. My hair is such a tangled mess in the morning I have to wash and condition it every day. Have lost comb teeth before in my hair 😩 It’s partly wavy and fine but there is lots of it. Bag wise I usually use a cross body one unless I’m going out for lunch/meeting friends, then it’s a shoulder bag.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I was supposed to go to my mums today for a haircut but woke up this morning not feeling too good so I had to cancel 🙁 I woke up at 8 and messaged my mum then went back to sleep until 12 🙀 I don't feel too bad now just tired,I'm annoyed at missing my haircut though. I haven't done anything apart from walk B today. I was thinking of doing some bits in the garden but I think it's going to rain in a minute
We are having a takeaway tonight as it's my birthday, I'm hoping I feel like eating later on,I'm really looking forward to it 😍😍Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
