I'm saving for the the floors to be done, someone to paint my stairway for me and tile the bathroom. I also need a new front door handle and the boiler needs servicing. I'm just going to keep saving as much as I can until I'm ready to get it all done 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
foxgloves said:I enjoyed 'Audrey Wilde', @Onebrokelady. How strange you had already bought 'Wakenhyrst' - exactly the kind of thing I would do! It is quite a compelling story bound up with ancient lore, etc, so I think you might have forgotten to read it? You'll soon find out!

Had an interesting day in clinic yesterday, I couldn't do any blood tests because my hands were still shaking from using the strimmer, Luckily I was working with someone else who does bloods so she did them and I did the bits that didn't require any manual dexterity🙄 I'm going to have to remember the next time I cut the grass to make sure I'm not working the next day 🙄 what a pain in the butt .
This morning I woke up feeling awful so took my painkillers and went back to sleep. I had planned on getting up early and going to do my shopping but slept until 10.30 ,I didn't get into town until 1 and home again until 2.30 so the painting didn't get done yet again. I'm busy tomorrow and working a 12 hour shift on Sunday so Monday will be the next available day to make a start.

Painting can wait, not like the walls are going anywhere!
I did a lot of decorating because we had no TV or internet for a week. The bits still to do will take a lot of timeDebt free Feb 2021 🎉2 -

At last we have had some sun 🎉🎉🎉 it has still been windy but quite warm,I still took my big umbrella with me when I went out because I have trust issues 😀
I had a lovely time meeting my mum for a coffee and we managed to go to the shops we normally go to but she did struggle with walking. We walked very slowly from bench to bench up the high street,I have suggested a wheelchair but she won't hear of it, I also suggested a walker with a seat but she wont have that either.
It was really nice to have a catch up and do something normal for a change, I do think we are going to have to rethink how we do it though because she struggled a lot, it's difficult because she won't let me help her,she has her shopping trolley so I offered to take that but she wouldn't let me, her handbag also weighs a tonne, I don't know what's she's got in there but it's heavy 😀 I only carry what I need on any given day in my bag and clear it out after I've used it so it doesn't get filled up with stuff I don't need. I take bus pass, purse, keys, phone ,tissues, lipstick and a pen and that's it, she's got address books and all sorts in her bag 🙄
I'm now just having a coffee before I Take B out for her evening walk, it's still sunny but getting cold now so at least we won't get wet
DD2 got her computer back today and it's all fixed,it needed a new hard drive so the bill was a couple of hundred that's cheaper than replacing her computer which would probably be a couple of thousand 🙀 I won't see much of her over the weekend now because she will be catching up with her friends. She went out last night so is recovering from a small hangover, she was shocked at how much money she ended up spending so has said she won't be going out every weekend 😀
My hands appear to have recovered today so I might hopefully get started on my decorating on Monday. It's occurred to me today that I might be dragging my heels because although I want to get my floors replaced I don't like the thought of people having to come into my house to do the job and all the upheaval it will involve. I will have to move my furniture and really have nowhere to put it, my sofas are quite big and heavy so I do t know what I will do with them. Still it's a way off yet if I don't get this painting done

After a dull and showery day it’s sunny here too ☀️Is your DD’s computer a gaming one? My DD is a gamer and her set up is so expensive 🙀I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
