    I remember giving up on 'Moby !!!!!!' when I was a teenager!🐳
I'm getting really lazy with my choice of books as I age. At one time I would read most things that were given critical acclaim. Some I liked and some I didn't, but I felt at least they pushed me out of my comfort zone. These days I find I stick with historical, mysteries and psychological thrillers. And I still re-read all my old favourites.  I've got quite a few new novels stacked up on kindle that I haven't read yet - plus I get a free kindle download every so often from my Times subscription  - Richard Osman's is one I'm looking forward to as it's a murder mystery!  Oh and I still love non-fiction history.
I love a good psychological thriller and mysteries. I'm thinking of reading Richard Osman but have read lots of mixed reviews, not that I normally take any notice of them. Graham Norton writes good but quirky books.  I also like some fantasy books .For non fiction I have a big collection of books on witchcraft and I love anything to do with medieval Britain so anything to with Anglo Saxons and Vikings 😊

Busy day at work today and a bit stressful in the afternoon, the consultant I was working with swore at me because the porters brought the wrong scanning machine down to his clinic,I wasn't there when it arrived so didn't realise but as I'm the first person he sees I'm the one who gets shouted at😟 I didn't speak to him for the rest of the clinic and I think he realised I was annoyed because later on he offered to make me a cup of tea 🙄 as if that excuses his behaviour, he never makes drinks for underlings, stupid man 😡
I did manage to leave on time and was home in time to catch some rare sunshine so took B up to the footpath through the fields.
Im off tomorrow so will be having a lie in and I'm now off to bed 💤💤💤

Another vote for Eleanor Olliphant, I loved that! I’m more often about fantasy, magic and escapism.
the consultant should apologise! He needs some unconscious bias training and some diversity and inclusion training. People are all equal and you don’t get to shout at someone just because you think they are in a position where they are unable to shout back 😢

That consultant would be on a disciplinary if he spoke to someone like that where I work, what a nasty man. Enjoy your day off.

I like fantasy magic and escapism too 😊 maybe I will give Eleanor Olliphant a go, I also loved the book A Man Called Ove ( not sure of spelling )
I have complained about him before and someone had a word,it's quite common working in the hospital for people to get snarky and snap at you so I've got used to it now. If I'm in the mood I will have a go back but didn't get chance yesterday

I complained about him last year and someone did have a word but the excuse used was that he was under a lot of stress,I replied aren't we all but we don't go around shouting at our colleagues 😡

Did you collect the prescription in the end or leave it until Monday.
I loved Eleanor Oliphant....got through that very quickly when I was recovering from my arm op......and couldn’t do much other than watch tv or read.
The consultant was so rude.....I know they’re under pressure but there is no need to put ohers down 😡
    Glad you didn’t get a soaking 💦💦

No I didn't go in the end,I did my ironing instead 😇 you do develop a thick skin working in a hospital, both my DDs worked in my hospital from the age of 17 and both learned very quickly to you needed a thick skin. If it's not patients or their relatives having a go at you it's someone higher up the food chain, sad but that's just how it is. Most staff and consultants are lovely but there are a few who are quite temperamental and get easily worked up, I tend to ignore them or have a go back depending what sort of mood I'm in 😀

Defo worth giving 'Eleanor Oliphant' a go, @Onebrokelady. I loved it. I borrowed the audiobook from the library a good while ago.
Also, have you read 'Wakenhyrst' by Michelle Paver? My sister gave me her copy when she was having a tidy-out & I really enjoyed it. Some of your interests are similar to mine so I thought you might like this book, if you haven't already read it, of course!
