  • To do F&F I would need a percentage of the amount owed and on something like £5000 that's going to surely be more than I've got at the moment or can realistically save up, also if they are part of my DMP can I pay one without paying the others doing F& Fs on my total debt is definitely not doable
I was thinking more of the smaller debts like the £600 where perhaps you offer 30% initially. You possibly would have to move to a self managed DMP though which could be a faff depending on how many debts you have left. Knock them off one by one.

I’d be tempted to carry on paying as you are so that you can have a life. If I could I’d set a saving account up to save in until I had enough to clear the balance.....this Is how I cleared my debts....although I was managing myself and not a dmp.
Your books sounded interesting.Hope you’re feeling better today 🤞

Hmmm food for thought, I've always been to scared to do my own DMP but maybe I need to investigate,of course the other problem I will have in the future is that DD 2 will move out so I won't have that extra money coming in unless I rent her room out, I have considered this but only as a last resort, at the moment the money I get from DD is going into the house pot to pay for much needed work on this house. I need to log into my SC account and see what's what

That's what I'm thinking, I would like to save up to clear the debt but that would mean no work done on the house and it needs work sadly.
Im feeling a bit better today possibly due to having a long lie in 😀

I didn't have a very good nights  sleep last night considering I was shattered but I slept in late so that made up for it 😀 I woke up to lovely blue skies so that makes a difference to how I feel. I've just taken B for a lovely walk along our favourite footpath and it was very pleasant, we can't normally walk here in winter because it's too muddy but they have just resurfaced it with lots of gravel the only sad thing is there was a leafy tunnel you used to walk through halfway up and they have chopped it all down😢 I'm consoling myself with the thought that pruning will do it good and it will grow back at some point, I was happy to see that two big oak trees have been spared the pruning, there also used to be a gate halfway up because the field next to the path used to have sheep in it but they've taken the gate away as well. The fields there were sold for housing several years ago but nothings been built yet so I'm wondering if they are going to start building on there now, it will ruin the area around there 😢
