My journey to a debt free life

  • Well that was a busy day. I went out to sort the 🐓🐓and ended up sweeping the leaves up on the patio, I've just plied them up because they are soaking wet and I ran out of time to move them, I now need it to chuck it down with rain to wash the slabs, I did chuck some water over them but that just made it worse 😳 I also cleaned the bathroom, did the ironing and another load of washing.
I then decided it was time to sit down and cast on a sleeve of my jumper, I managed to knit about half the sleeve this afternoon but had to stop to cook my tea

I didn't get out to the shop for bread because the delivery I was waiting for didn't arrive until 5.30, I will be popping into town tomorrow to return the item I waited in for after all that, it's not mine it's DDs but she is working 6 days this week so can't do it. I also managed to buy the DGS Christmas presents today from the comfort of my settee, they are both into In The Night Garden at the moment and DGs1 asked for the Ninky Nonk train so I got him that, it's an activity toy, his brother is a too young to ask so I got him a couple of bits he will love, one is a shape sorter that is very cute and the other thing looks like a toy mobile phone but it's an interactive toy, he is constantly picking things up and pretending they are phones so he will love that. I am just pleased to have got their presents sorted, I now just need to find something for their dad and my mum and dad, I'm going to go in and have a look round on Thursday but I'm not sure which shops will be open, otherwise I will have to shop online

I get on well with our Dyson upright with the ball thingy. My only problem with it is that it is very heavy. I really notice this now I have arthritis starting in my hands.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

I'm waiting for the day my floor is clear enough to have one of those that does it itself.  Maybe next decade!

I’ve got a shark and I’m really happy with it. I got it when I broke my leg as it was easier to manoeuvre with one leg 😂 Henry/Hetty are the business for serious cleaning though.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I bet the gk will love the toys at Christmas.
I’m loving the hoover talk. I want a light handheld that’s powerful. Can’t decide which to get.....but waiting until after the kitchen is finished to see how much cash we have left.....

There's so many to choose from though, if my Hetty ever breaks and I can't get it repaired I will probably get the same again, they are so good if you own animals and last for years 😊
