@Sun_Addict I thought they'd discontinued this. I used to buy it all the time under a slightly different name and was really disappointed when I couldn't get hold of it anymore. I'm so glad you posted that!Debt at highest point (Dec 2018) - £60,000
Diary starting point debt (Dec 2020) - £34,673 - Oct 2021 - £16,903
March 2022 - £7270
April 2022 - £5900
May 2022 - £4800
September 2022 - 0
Total paid off from start of diary = £34,6733 -
They rebranded it. Always buy it on 3 for 2 so I’ve got a good stock in as it tends to be difficult to get hold of from time to time 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Yay,I've just bought a book each for my Mum and Dad for Christmas so if nothing else gets done at least they have a book each,I usually get them some edible treats too so will have a look in town to see what there that is they might fancy. I've just got to get my son in law and my best friend something now,I've seen something for my friend but I'm not sure if it's any good, it's a bottle of gin in M&S and it also lights up ,I'm not sure if you can use it as a light after but it's quite pretty and she loves gin so I will check it out, this is the same friend that I sewed the picture for last year which she loved and has hung up in her new kitchen/ dining room ,it looks good in its new home. I can't believe that it was a year ago that I was stitching that picture, it seems like it was only a few months ago. This year has been tough and horrible but god it's gone quickly 🙀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944

Hi, just popping in while I have my lunch. Yesterday was a very relaxing day mainly because once I'd done my dog walk and the chickens I sat and read one of the new books I've got on my kindle, I thought I wasn't going to enjoy it but got sucked in and finished it last night 🙀I then had a small break to cook tea and have a chat with DD when she came home from work but then I started the second book in this series and got hooked on that so I might actually finish that today, I would be reading it now but the battery needed charging on my kindle 😀 .We discovered when DD came home that we didn't have any internet and according to the local FB group it had not been working all day, I didn't notice because I was busy elsewhere 😀any way there were a couple of workmen outside fixing it and it was working again by bedtime. Yesterday was also a NSD 🎉🎉
Today I was actually planning on going into town to see if I can buy the last of my Christmas presents but I woke up this morning not feeling great and it's a horrible cold rainy day out there so I changed my mind. I'm staying indoors in the warm so today should also be a NSD. So far I've taken B out for her walk and Im trying to get up the motivation to go and sort the chickens out but it's so cold I don't want to 😟
The books I ordered the other night for my Mum and Dad arrived today so that's two more presents sorted. I need to do my bank check as well to make sure the money is in the right place, I haven't moved any money from the Christmas savings this month because the things I've bought will be covered by DDs rent which she paid me on payday, if there is any money left in the Christmas savings after I've bought everything Im adding it to my flooring fund I will also be using the spare council tax payments for the flooring. I can't wait for next year when I can get that done I do need to paint downstairs first though so will make a start on that in January
Ive also just realised I haven't updated my signature so will go and do that now. I got a yearly statement from the PRA group last week for one of my debts and it was down to £600ish I was so tempted to pay it,it's just two months of DDs rent and it would be gone but as it's part of my DMP I'm not sure how that would work, I was brought down to Earth though by a second statement from PRA for another debt they are handling which is £5000 so no hope of paying that off in a lump sum. I do wonder sometimes if my playing the long game is the right thing to do, it's going to take me years to pay off my debt at the rate I am but doing it this way is allowing me to actually have a life,it's not that exciting and I still can't afford things like holidays but it's a better life than I've had for many years so I need to balance that out with thoughts of paying my debt off quicker. It's also allowedme to cut down my hours at work which because of my health is a massive bonus, I could have tried to carry on full time and paid things off a bit quicker but I know I couldn't sustain it in the long term, this way I work less hours at a time but I'm hoping that will allow me to work for more years because I have a while to go before I can retire, then hopefully when I do retire I won't be too knackered to enjoy itOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
Just a quick pop in.
Stick to the having a life. Get the balance.
If you really push yourself then you'll not enjoy the not being able to do anything.
It's being paid so going down and you've learnt and are budgeting.
Enjoy the rest of your day xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x4 -

Sorry you didn't feel so great today and rain does put you off from going out.
It's good that one of your debts is down to £600 and they are all on a downward trajectory which is the main thing. You do need to prioritise your health.
Those books must have been really good 🙂. I'm like that when I get into a book and just can't put it down. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Good idea about the F&F from ES, might be worth looking into see what they say. I love it when you find a book you can’t put down.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

To do F&F I would need a percentage of the amount owed and on something like £5000 that's going to surely be more than I've got at the moment or can realistically save up, also if they are part of my DMP can I pay one without paying the others doing F& Fs on my total debt is definitely not doableOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942
