My journey to a debt free life

I've had another relaxing day today with not much to do. I had to do the 🐓🐓daily clean and they are not happy at being shut in all the time, I gave them a big pile of meal worms for a treat to cheer them up, it was really cold this afternoon I could have done with some gloves while I was out there
I've spent most of the day reading my book which I wanted to finish tonight but I don't think it's a good idea to read it right before bed because it's very creepy 🙀
Tomorrow I'm going into town to get some shopping and look for present ideas for my son in law and I also need some new shoes for work so I'm going to have a look to see what I can find,I normally wear sketchers but they are a bit pricey so I will see if I can find something similar in a cheaper make,I only need trainers but they have to be all black and wipeable if possible, I hate looking for shoes for work, I begrudge paying god money for something I'm just wearing at work but they have to be quite good because I'm on my feet all day, I will see what I can find
My friend also messaged me asking to meet up for a coffee, I'm not sure where she thinks we can go though because I don't think we are allowed to meet up inside if we aren't from the same household, we have both had covid but no one else will realise that, there are two cafes with outside areas and one of those has big heaters so maybe we can go there, it will be cold sitting outside though

I get upset when trees are cut down or cut back too, though we need work done on some of ours because they are potentially a problem in high winds.
Re: Skechers, have you looked online? I saw M&M D irect have some and there may be other discount places too.
My DD and I are also planning to meet for outdoor food tomorrow: I have my warm coat ready! It will be worth it to see her though.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

First day back at work after my week off, it had the potential to be a rubbish day which was quickly saved by some quick thinking and help from one of my younger colleagues. In the end we had a pleasant shift. I had a meeting with one of my managers who just wanted to check on how I was doing after being ill. She was lovely and it was nice to be asked if I was ok. I will have triggered on the work sickness policy but I'm not worrying about it, like she said there have been so many staff off sick with covid they can't really do much about it
Ive now got two days off so can chill out again, I keep making plans to start jobs around the house but my energy levels are very variable at the moment, it's getting to the point now where I think I'm just going to have to power through or nothing will get done. I fed up of feeling like this now and need to get back to normal
i didn't go into town yesterday because I was in too much pain,I'm going in tomorrow to do some bits and then meeting my friend on Thursday instead . It's so cold I just want to hibernate at home. I finished the Second book last night an it was good with a very satisfying ending, I really shouldn't have read it before bed though because the book the main character hears scratching on the door in the night as part of the haunting that is going on and just after I went to bed I heard scratching at my door🙀😀🙀😀 I had to really persuade myself that it was just the cat and nothing else 😀😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
😳😳to scary books before bedtime.I’m pleased work were ok with you about sickness. Like you said there’s not a lot they can do. Hope your dd has recovered properly now.January spends - £587.583

In the interests of fairness a lot of this year's sick leave should probably not be counted. My work counts Covid entirely separately (but none of us has had it as far as we know, at least not while tests have been available). A huge number of people have been off with stress, and a number have had to be at home for two weeks while a family member isolated before hospital treatment.
I'm sorry to hear you had a day of bad pain, I hope you are better now? I agree about hibernating, it's tempting! Only a couple of weeks till the days start to get longer, though.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
