Thought I’d join your diary thanks for commenting on mine. Only read last page - do you live on a smallholding or something with chickens?

I get upset when trees are cut down or cut back too, though we need work done on some of ours because they are potentially a problem in high winds.

Re: Skechers, have you looked online? I saw M&M D irect have some and there may be other discount places too.

My DD and I are also planning to meet for outdoor food tomorrow: I have my warm coat ready! It will be worth it to see her though.

I did have a quick look online but found it hard to see what they were made of,I'm going to have a look tomorrow. It's freezing here so I'm not sure I can get away with sitting outside

Yes we do SA I walked past it yesterday, I've only ever looked at the home stuff, I might try and go there tomorrow before I go into town, it's on a little retail park not far from where I live

In the interests of fairness a lot of this year's sick leave should probably not be counted. My work counts Covid entirely separately (but none of us has had it as far as we know, at least not while tests have been available). A huge number of people have been off with stress, and a number have had to be at home for two weeks while a family member isolated before hospital treatment.
I'm sorry to hear you had a day of bad pain, I hope you are better now? I agree about hibernating, it's tempting! Only a couple of weeks till the days start to get longer, though.
