In the interests of fairness a lot of this year's sick leave should probably not be counted. My work counts Covid entirely separately (but none of us has had it as far as we know, at least not while tests have been available). A huge number of people have been off with stress, and a number have had to be at home for two weeks while a family member isolated before hospital treatment.
I'm sorry to hear you had a day of bad pain, I hope you are better now? I agree about hibernating, it's tempting! Only a couple of weeks till the days start to get longer, though.
Covid sickness wasn't counted during the first wave but I'm not sure about this time, my matrons have been really good though so I can't complain. Unfortunately I have had another bad day of pain and also now have a wheezy chest and cough, god knows where it's come from but my chest doesn't feel good at all tonight 😟

You'll think I'm crazy but for years after watching a horror film as a teenager, where the murderer hid under the bed, I checked under the bed every night before getting in. I carried this ritual on until I was well into my 20s. My mum thought it was hilarious, as in later years did Mr SA. Both of them said what would I do if someone was there. I think to this day that's why I buy beds with drawers under them 🤣
Nope not crazy at all,I sometimes still check under my bed now and won't sleep with any thing not covered by my duvet because of course it will save me from anything 😂😂

I found this which seems relevant... it doesn't look as though the NHS has stopped counting Covid as different from other sicknesses.
I think you've done amazingly to come back as strongly as you have done, following two bouts of illness close together. Winter weather can't help much. I know everyone says it but please be as gentle on yourself as you can.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That’s nice of John Lewis. I love a wander round their store, although it’s been a while since I was last in there. The gnocchi bake sounds good, reminds me I’ve got a pack of gnocchi in my cupboard. Not good you and DD both don’t feel great, seems like these are the long term effects of COVID.

@Nicnak I also hate dolls. I remember catching a glimpse of a horror film my parents were watching, I was only a little girl and think I must’ve snook downstairs, there was an evil doll with teeth 😱 Hated them ever since, would never play with them as a child.

Snap. Mine was the Chucky doll from child's play. My auntie had it on when we visited. Can not watch horror ever since. X
