Well done for getting the housework done! Want some more? I'm sure I can find you some...

We are wearing masks, aprons, gloves and visors at work if we need to assist someone to eat. It's odd that people aren't better protected outside of the care world when you consider how careful we have to be within it.

I don't think the yarn to knit a warm jumper was a naughty purchase at all, & it was a good price.

No thanks to the housework Cherry😂 I think because all our inpatients are tested on admission we have only had to wear visors if they were positive but because people coming into clinics aren't tested we have no way of knowing if they have it or not,and of course on my ward we also have a parent with the child and they don't get a test either, some hospitals are testing any parents that are resident with a child but ours doesn't so we now have to wear everything for close contact

It's only cheap chunky wool so I'm not sure what the quality will be like,I found another pattern I liked and the wool was lovely but it was £6.50 a ball and I would have needed ten balls 🙀🙀🙀Im not paying that kind of money for a jumper I'm just going to be slobbing around in

Had a good day at work yesterday apart from the lingering headache and the episodes of feeling sick, I feel sick today and don't really want to eat much but have just had a sandwich for lunch, I'm hoping this won't be a long term thing because it's a horrible feeling, it reminds me of having morning sickness when I was pregnant 🤢I think I've mastered the new computer system in the outpatients department so that another stress gone as I now feel confident to use it without anyone else being there
I now have two days off so had a lie in this morning. I'm not planning on doing much at all today abut have sorted the 🐓🐓out they are now pootling round the garden. I've got a load of washing on the go and that's it. I'm going to knit some more of the cat blanket because I need to get it finished in time for my jumper wool to arrive, apparently it's been dispatched so I'm running out of time. I'm just having lunch and a coffee while I catch up on here then I'm picking up my needles

I can remember when my kids were little knitting myself loads of chunky jumpers with really thick needles. I used to churn them out faster than the speed of light. I used to like knitting but was never great at it, was forever dropping stitches and then having to sew the holes up afterwards 😂 I don’t have the time or patience now.

I've just spent the last week or so reading your diary from the beginning and I've loved it.
I'm also a HCA/support worker, though in a mental health environment and I've been so encouraged by what you manage on what I know is a low wage.
    You've given me hope :)
