It's good news that you're well enough to go into work and fortunate that you can do a shorter day so you don't overdo things.
I think the autumn colours look lovely too 🍁 🍂, almost nicer than the summer foliage 🍃 which can be a bit one dimensional.

Good news about your work being flexible with you though. Definitely what you need whilst you're still recovering.

Another sleepless night 😟 I made myself get up at 10.30 though. I haven't felt too good today either, the cough was back this morning but has gone again now but I felt sick in the afternoon which is worrying, I thought that had gone but it appears not.
We went into town but didn't do half the stuff on the list because we both felt like ill. DD had a thing to return in the post and also had a letter to post to a friend she writes to, we managed to get that done, we then went into Superdrug to buy my shampoo but I took one look at the crowds and turned round and came back out, I have some shampoos left and also have baby shampoo that I buy B so I can use that if I run out. Next was Mr S for some fresh bits of veg and bread rolls, I also picked up two canisters of peanuts and one of Mini Cheddars while I was there, these were things we had trouble finding last Christmas so I thought I would grab them while I could. We were then supposed to go to Wilkos for most of the bits I needed but were both feeling quite done in by then so I checked the list and decided the items on there could wait until Tuesday when I have a day off. We just wanted to get home by then and were just in time to catch the bus
When we got home we sat and had a cup of tea and some lunch then DD went to lie down and I went out to sort the chickens out. I had to clean their run today because I haven't touched it since we've been ill and it was in a right mess luckily it's just poo and it was wet so it just needed scraping up and disposing of,it only took ten minutes and I couldn't leave it any longer, I was supposed to buy sawdust for their house today but didn't get any so will have to do that on Tuesday and clean their house out properly then, I pick the poo up out of their house everyday and they've got lots of bedding in there but I like to completely change it once a month to keep pests at bay
I haven't done anything in the house apart from the dishes, I really need to hoover so will have a go at that tomorrow if I feel ok
I sat and watched Boris's press conference and I'm not surprised they have had to do another lockdown, the numbers are creeping up even in the Southwest and I know of one hospital that reached capacity last week just due to winter pressures without even taking covid into account, the poop is going to hit the fan very soon I think and all because some idiots don't think the rules apply to them. I hope they are all happy now that they have caused a second lockdown which is going to finish off so many businesses, they won't be laughing in the streets when their precious pubs are closed down for good will theyOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8947 -
Sorry to read you’re still not feeling great. I guess it will take it’s time to get out of your system and it’s still early days really. I’m not surprised about the lockdown, there are some really stupid people out there. Most of us have been careful and they just can’t behave themselves. At least it’s clear now what we’re doing - basically nothing.Try and take it easy, baby steps and all that xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Sorry to read your still not so good.
I think some of those people have no care for anything and don't always think through the long term implications.
Unfortunately it is that minority that are impacting the majority.

Are you sure you are fit enpough to return to work? It doesnt sound like it if you are feeling ill after a shopping trip. I understand you feel guilty because colleagues are struggling ( been there and done that) but if you go back too soon you will end up being off again and possibly set back your eventual recovery. People recover at different rates and pushing yourself will not do you or colleagues any good in the long run.

I agree OBL. You musn't go back to work if you're still not well enough. Covid-19 is a nasty virus and can cause relapses. See how you are today.
I feel angry with silly people who don't follow lockdown rules as this second lockdown has to be caused by those people. If people wore masks, socially distanced and used hand gel the virus wouldn't be spreading like mad again. Part of the trouble are the conspiracy theories online that foolish people believe, plus those who think they're immune and don't care about anyone but themselves 😡. We've gone from Tier 1 to lockdown in the South West which is a bit of a shock to the system. Mind you we were days away from Tier 2 where I live, but still! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

If you are still feeling ill OBL then perhaps you should not go back to work next week. I have already fumed about the lockdown elsewhere but I agree with the above by SA, Niknak and HH.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
