We also have some family.... um..... difficulties, OBL. Sometimes mutual estrangement can have benefits! I suppose the defeated candidate was ok then, despite openly boasting about walking into rooms & 'grabbing women by the *****'!
Enjoy your new knitting. We watched two films last night so I got quite a lot of my friend's throw knitted. Shall finish it over the coming week.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!
  • Blimey OBL you sister is a bit rude telling you what you can and can't post on your own FB page. I'm glad you're finally feeling on the mend, although feeling nauseous is a horrible feeling. I'm glad work was okay :).

I told her to stop spreading false news and that she needed to send me some proper proof of the accusations and not just some clip from Facebook that the Trumpster and his cronies had put about

I love mutual estrangement but both my sisters who live away are not happy unless they are stirring the pot. My other sister who I don't talk to caused lots of trouble and a family argument when she found out I had tested positive for covid. I had helped my Dad with their shopping two weeks before I fell ill and then on the weekend I fell ill my niece took her new baby to my mum and dads house on the Saturday but I hadn't been anywhere near them at this point. I was diagnosed on the Tuesday following and my mum told my sister that we had tested positive, she was straight onto my niece saying I had known I was positive on the Saturday but hadn't told anyone so had put them at risk, I was so ill but had to deal with the fallout from that instead of being in bed. I had my Dad on the phone wondering if they needed testing and worrying that mum was at risk and I hadn't even been in contact with any of them 😡I really could have down without it at that time and it just reminded me why I don't speak to them any more
I did quite a bit of my cat blanket last night but had to stop because of the headache rearing it's ugly head, I got an email saying my wool has been despatched but I think Royal Mail are going to be busy again so I'm not sure how long it will take to arrive

She is very 😟 my half sister ( same dad different mum) is lovely with not a bad bone in her body, we grew up together so are quite close and she lives locally,we don't see each other as much as we would like because we are both busy but we both know if there is a problem we will be there for each other, she and my brother in law did all my shopping while I was ill and isolating 😊
I will have to share my family story one day because its quite entertaining if a little unbelievable at times 😊
