Oh my days, OBL..... if you lived near to me (& there was no Covid), I'd arrange to meet you for a coffee & toasted teacake & we could exchange tales of sibling toxcicity Because up here, we could write a book! In fact, reading your post, I kind of actually felt a bit glad it's not just us!

I’ve only got 1 sibling left....I lost 2 others to heart disease many moons ago. He is quite a bit older than me but we get on really well....on everything except politics. He can be far too animated (putting it nicely) so all is well as long as we avoid the subject. I don’t necessarily disagree with him but hate the way his demeanour changes when discussion starts.....thing he’s put me off political discussion forever 🙄😏🤔
The craft gift is a good idea. I made my gks a felt Christmas tree ornament last year from a Kath Kidson pattern - I’d intended doing another this year but my book is on a shelf on the far end of the spare bedroom which is packed with the contents of my kitchen....hopefully once everything goes back I can get to it before Christmas.

I love the idea of getting my children a christmas decoration every year...I don't have many traditions in place. We've just started trying to do the panto with the grandchildren yearly, this is the second year..

First long day at work yesterday since we got ill and it was a struggle to be honest, I didn't feel too good on Sunday evening because my chest wasnt feeling to good and I still keep feeling sick, anyway I plodded on and made it through the day but didn't feel great when I got home,I'm also having a pain flair up just to add to the fun, I went to bed and dosed myself up with lots of painkillers in the end.
This morning I didn't wake up until 11am 🙀🙀and I had to go into town for some bits,we ran out of poo bags and I wanted some more sawdust for the 🐓🐓so its there when I need it, I also bought some packed lunch bits too. My wool and knitting pattern arrived yesterday so I was excited about that, I haven't finished the cat blanket yet though but I did cast the jumper on and make a start on it but I've made a rule that I have to knit at least ten rows of the cat blanket before I touch the jumper 😀so it will be finished soon, I'm about 3/4 done 😊
Tonight I made lasagne for our tea, we bought lasagne sheets ages ago but kept forgetting to use them, DD mentioned fancying a lasagne yesterday so I finally made it and there was enough for us to have tomorrow too,I'm working 9-5 tomorrow so it will be nice to not have to cook when I get in 😊DD said it tasted lovely but I don't know because I still can't taste anything,my sense of smell is coming back though ,there was a lady on the bus wearing a quite strong perfume today and I could smell it 🎉🎉 I've always taken my senses for granted but now I've lost one I don't think I will again, eating just isn't that enjoyable if you can't taste anything
Im working tomorrow but I'm in clinics all day so that will be good, I went to relieve a break in our paediatric ED yesterday and had a crash course in using their computer system which is slightly different to the one in outpatients that Ive been using,I managed to do the thing I was trying to do but I don't actually know how I did it😂 the system on the ward is very similar to the ED one but I haven't had to use it yet so that will be interesting, it's certainly improved how we do things in Outpatients though and I really like it 😊
I was supposed to do my banking today to check everything's where it should be but I got carried away knitting so I will have to do it on Thursday now, I like to check in to see if there's any spare cash that can be moved into savings so I don't spend it.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8947 -
It's good that you've had a quieter couple of days after a heavy shift. Well done for getting through it but it must have been hard work.
I hope we can see a photo of this blanket when it's done! You must be knitting nineteen to the dozen.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Take it easy on your days off. Rest is so important getting better from the things our poor bodies have to endure. We really do put them to the test in all sorts of ways. It’s comforting to hear some IT interventions are making things better as so often they make things more complicated 😂😂😂or maybe that’s just when I use technology 😂😂
Happy knitting- what colour is the wool for your jumper?January spends - £587.582 -
Glad your wool has arrived.
Agree that resting on days off is the best option. I know a few people who keep saying they feel like they're relapsing when they've felt better.
