I'm glad she's on the mend. I think you're wise not to leave talking about returning till the last minute as they'll need to plan. Of course you might feel much better by then but you can only be sure of how you are now as recovery is so variable and as you said, you were still recovering from your previous infection.
Sending hugs x

I definitely agree you should stay at home. You wouldn’t be fit enough to do any work and isn’t the guidance to stay isolated until a lack of symptoms or the time limit.....( can’t remember if it’s 7, 10 or 14 days 😳.......not that it’s confusing at all 🤔🙄😳). Imagine if you went back too early and ended up picking something else up. No definitely rest and tlc are the order of the day. It sounds as if you’ve got it bad but thankfully, as you say, not bad enough for a hospital bed. Take care.....pleased to hear dd is on the mend.January spends - £587.585

Hope the call goes well. I think it would be impossible for you to do a 12.5 hour shift with how you're feeling and they should understand this.

Spoke too soon,DD is not feeling good today, she now feels sick and doesn't want to eat, she is already in bed. This is the nastiest virus I have ever had, you feel like your recovering and then more symptoms pop up from nowhere
I spoke to my occupational health advisor today and she said I can get a certificate from my gp to start after Friday when the isolation period ends. I managed to speak to my surgery and they have requested a sick certificate from the doctor for a week, hopefully by the end of that I should be feeling better. I will phone work in the morning, I felt a bit better when I woke up but then lunch time came around and I felt sick and had an upset tummy again, I've spent the day on the settee because I'm sick of being in bed all day, my chest symptoms have also changed from a dry cough to a clogged up chest which gets worse when I lie down,I slept sitting up last night because it was easier to keep my throat clear
I've done some knitting today to try and take my mind off everything. I was knitting a blanket for the cat bed but didn't like the wool I was using so I've started again with a different wool and I'm happy with it now,it's just a stocking stitch pattern with a moss stitch border going all around the edge so I don't have to concentrate too much. When I finish it I'm going to have a go at my first pair of socks( finally )

I hope you're both feeling better soon.
I've not braved making socks yet but I do stalk a sock-making group on Facebook. There are some lovely and results and a lot of interesting works in progress.

Definitely far too soon for either of you to think about returning to work. Work should be sensitive to this. We’re still learning about this damn virus and it appears it comes and goes in waves. What an absolute nightmare 😩 I remember Mr SA sleeping downstairs sitting up in a chair back in January because it kept his airways clearer. Really starting to believe he had Covid before it became a thing.Cut yourself some slack and only do what you really feel you can do, don’t try to push too hard xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thinking of you. Hopefully it'll start to ease soon.
