My journey to a debt free life

Hi everyone,we have both spent the day in our respective beds today, DD got up this morning and had a shower and that was enough to wear her out,her boss has told her she doesn't sound fit enough to be at work so is reviewing again on Monday. I got up and had my shower and also ended up back in bed, I intended to just lay down for a couple of hours but didn't end surfacing again until gone 5pm, I just couldn't keep my eyes open. I'm also sleeping all night too which is unheard of for me. I phoned work and told them I won't be back for a week and they were ok with that.
Tomorrow we are actually allowed out of isolation 🎉🎉🎉not that we have the energy to do much. We are going to take B for a very short stroll up the road though because she hasn't been out for ten days and is starting to lose the plot a bit, I'm going to spend the weekend trying to eat more and next week will be resting with added strolls up the road to get my muscles moving again then hopefully I will be ready to go back to work in a weeks time. I'm so fed up of being shut in the house, I know I can go in the garden but the weather hasn't been the best for sitting out in. I need to walk somewhere even if it's just to the end of the road and back
Another little side effect of this virus is very strange realistic dreams, there's lots of reports of this but I don't know why it's happening. I regularly have nightmares anyway and odd dreams have been a feature of my sleep for years but nothing like I have experienced over the last week,I actually screamed in my sleep the other night and woke myself up. DD never remembers her dreams and nightmares are not common for her but she nearly had to come and wake me up last night because of a really bad nightmare, she was really scared 🙁 it's all very odd and I'm hoping that will stop soon too. My best friend has also been at home with the virus ( we work together and she came down with it a few days after me ) she messaged me today saying she feels very emotional which is not like her at all, she is a very cheerful optimistic person but this seems to have upset her mentally rather than physically, she feels ok in herself but feels really upset all the time 🙁
I think over the next year there are going to be a few people who have had this that are changed in some way mentally 🙁Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
The first person I knew to have the virus (we think he had it - it was before testing but a family member was just back from Italy) also reported nightmares, though I don't think they lasted long. He put it down to the fever. I hadn't realised it's a pattern. How nasty this whole thing is.
It's real progress that you can start to think about taking a walk even if it's a mini one.

Yes, fever/delirium can cause weird dreams & nightmares, so I expect that's the link with Covid. I really hope you both start to pick up soon.

I hope you manage to get out for some fresh air. The fever may be causing the nightmares. Definitely too soon to be going back to work, you need to build your strength back up. This virus seems to be throwing up all sorts of weird symptoms. I hope you both start feeling better soon and can manage to get out and into the fresh air. Take it slowly though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Im cautiously optimistic that I might have turned a very small corner today. I have not felt too bad all day apart from a niggling headache which is not as bad as the headache I had a few days ago. Today I had to go out on an errand which was quite scary, I needed my acid reflux meds so had to go to Boots for them. Luckily there is one in my local shopping centre so I can get the bus almost to the door. There is also an M&S so while I was out I picked up some nice food for snacking in the hope it might tempt us to eat, so I bought crackers for cheese and some chutney, a lovely fresh loaf of bread from the bakery, and garlic cream cheese, I was hoping I would be able to taste some of this and I can faintly taste the crackers. We also had an online delivery of our main shop so I had ordered some Applewoods smoked cheddar and I could just about taste that so hopefully my sense of taste seems to be coming back. Tomorrow I am trying the cottage pie I made ,I seem to be more hungry at lunch time than in the evening so will swap my main meal to then, that's how I eat when I'm at work so I'm used to having something lighter for tea, we also bought cornflour so next week at some point I can make the lemon meringue pie I've been craving, I can taste sweet, salty and sour but not many flavours yet. That very short shopping trip wiped me out and I had to have a rest walking from the bus stop to my house, it's not far but it's on a hill and I couldn't make it without stopping for a few minutes. I don't have to go anywhere now because we are all stocked up on essentials 😊
Tonight I had a lovely pampering shower and then sat and watched Rebecca which I really enjoyed,Kristin Scott Thomas made a really good Mrs Danvers 😊
I also changed my bedding today for my lovely snuggly brushed cotton duvet cover so I'm looking forward to getting into bed soon
DD2 also looks a lot better today which is a relief, she is struggling to eat now as well but hopefully it won't last long, we both took B up the road again today and although it was chucking it down it was nice to get some fresh air on our facesOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
That is all sounding hopeful, OBL. No heroics though, Missis.... take things very steady while you build yourself back up.
