When Mr SA had what I now believe to have been Covid back in January, it was followed by a nasty diarrhoea and sickness bug. Isn’t it weird what you crave when you’re not well. I remember getting a bug on holiday in Greece years ago and all I fancied was Heinz vegetable soup. Had to trawl several shops until I finally found a tin. Fingers crossed you start feeling better soon xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

So today I was determined not to spend the day in bed, it's good to rest but being in bed all day doesn't help my chronic pain so although I didn't get up until 11 that's a big improvement for this week. I got a load of washing done and pegged it out because it's been really windy today, it didn't completely dry but almost so just needs finishing off on the airier, I also tidied up a bit because everywhere was starting to look a bit messy, then I sat down and read my book. I managed one slice of toast and honey this morning but then had Complan for lunch and tea, I cooked a cottage pie but couldn't face eating if once I'd cooked it, I've put two portions in the fridge for us both to have tomorrow and the other two have gone in the freezer so there is at least one cooked meal I don't need to make now
DD is booking a slot for online shopping for Friday because we are allowed out then,so tomorrow I'm making a list and doing some shopping. I can't believe how long the big box of wash powder is lasting me, we bought it online weeks ago and there's still more than half a box left, I definitely won't be going back to tablets or liquid after this and the good thing is my washing machine doesn't smell anymore either, I clean my machine with a machine cleaner every month but kept having problems with it smelling but that's gone now 😀
I also managed to do a quick clean of the chicken house today and they got to spend the day in the garden, it was soooooo nice to feel fresh air on my face. I waited until today because I thought it would be less likely for my neighbours to be out in their gardens. I'm not sure how long this thing is infectious for or how far droplets can spread outdoors so didn't want to risk bumping into a neighbour. The 🐓🐓are moulting yet again and the run looks like they've had a pillow fight. The neighbour on my left was out at the weekend with a chainsaw cutting back my trees that hang over their garden and I think the noise must have upset the 🐓🐓because there are feathers everywhere and today they were very jumpy when I let them out, I might offer him some money to come and trim my side when the leaves have all come downOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
You do sound brighter today, OBL, which is good to hear, but make sure you don't overdo it, won't you?

Glad you're feeling a bit brighter. You'll just need to take it steady, don't try to do too much too soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Back to a day in bed today 😟I got up this morning but felt so sick I went back to bed and slept until 3pm. I've phoned our occupational health dept this afternoon because I'm not convinced I will be ok for work on Saturday at this rate, I think I need a few days in a row of being able to stay out of bed before I attempt work. I'm supposed to be on a 12.5 hour shift on Saturday and the thought of it is making me want to go to bed 😫 I've got a phone appointment for tomorrow at 10.10 to speak to someone
I haven't done much since I got up,I checked the 🐓🐓and let them out for a bit but need to go and shut them in in a minuteOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
If your body tells you to sleep, then sleep it is. I suspect you wouldn't be able to do much at work, feeling as you do. This is a strange virus, the way if affects people so differently (unless that's typical of viruses but we're picking up on this as it's new) - there will be people who might be fit for work by Saturday but it's clearly been hard on you.
How is your daughter doing?
