Photo of new lodger, forgot to say he is getting on now as well ( 14 years old) so not a good candidate for rehoming 😟 DD is keeping his insurance up and paying for any vet bills I might incur,I'm phoning the vet tomorrow to get some flea and worming treatment, he hasn't had more than a few minutes sleep at a time because he keeps waking up to scratch so needs defleaing urgently,B and our other cat also need doing so I will get some for all of them. He also needs his claws trimming but I'm not doing that yet, I will give him some time to settle in and make sure I've got my thick gardening gloves on so I don't lose any fingers

He looks like butter wouldn't melt. I know though that some have a real aversion to human contact. 
I don't think you are mad as you obviously care so much about the animal and don't want it rehoming. You know what he is like which is a good thing so at least you can meet his needs as best you can. I hope he settles down and quietens. 
My aunties cat was awful until her husband died and then turned into the most lovable cat you had ever seen. Her husband didn't have anything to do with him because she was so aggressive to anyone so he deliberately avoided the cat at all costs.

He’s gorgeous another cat lover here he’s maybe a bit like me on a morning best left to its own devices or just plain grumpy

He’s lovely 💕 We had a cat who didn’t like too much human contact but if you pretended to cry she would rush up to you and rub her head on your face. I hope he settles in well.

He does doesn't he 😀  he was good overnight,I expected him to meow but he just went to sleep 😊

He is just grumpy,he always has been 😀 but I think we understand each other and I'm glad he is back with me now 😊

Awwww that's sweet,our other cat is very cuddly and will follow us around meowing until we pick him up for a cuddle,as soon as you touch him he purrs 😍😍this one will ask for a cuddle by rubbing his head on you but once he's had enough he will either bite or scratch you to let you know, I have just given his head a little rub whenever he comes over but not for long 😀

We have survived the night and second day with the returning cat. We went to bed and I just left him loose in the house so he could go where he wanted to, at my DDs house he was shut in the downstairs bathroom overnight because he meowed otherwise and kept them awake, she also said he pooped on the floor but so far all his poops have been in his tray and I didn't hear a peep out of him last night 😊 hopefully he will carry on like this.
The only thing he isn't happy about is not being allowed outside yet,he spent most of his time outside in their Polly tunnel or in the conservatory at their house, he did attack my foot today because he was trying to get out of the house so I pushed him back with my foot to avoid shutting the door on his head, good job I had my trainers on and not sandals because he scratched and bit my foot quite savagely 🙀
He has improved with B today and hasn't growled or hissed at her once, our other cat is staying upstairs by choice so I will let him do things at his own pace. He actually woke me up this morning meowing at the top of his voice, he has been doing this for a few months for some reason, I went out to check on him the first few  times in case there was something wrong but he just started purring and rubbing round my legs so I think he just wanted to come in my room ( no animals are allowed in my room ) B seems ok with everything, she stayed upstairs most of yesterday but has been down today and laid on the settee so that's a good sign.
I went to the vets and got flea treatment for B and our other cat who I shall call J from now on but they won't give it to me for the returning cat who I shall now call A😊, she said he has to be checked before they will prescribe anything 🙄 I bought some Frontline from the pet shop to use for now because I couldn't get an appointment until next Saturday 🙀

Hopefully he stays settled. He might do now that he is allowed to roam a little more and might feel better that he can move around. x

Last day of my holiday today 😟back to work tomorrow, it's a bit cooler here today and it's now raining which looks like it's set for the day. I don't have plans for today so I'm just chilling out. I do need to rehang my living room curtains because I took them down and washed them in the week and still haven't put them back up
I came down this morning to find a broken egg on the kitchen floor, they are in an eggskelter on top of the fridge,it must have been A exploring because our little cat J can't get onto the worktop anymore, there were paw prints on the worktop too so I must make sure I keep wiping it down, this is the only thing I don't like about owning cats, they can get anywhere 😟
I think A has become weirdly attached to me,he keeps coming over for head rubs and cuddles,I've never seen him like this . I took B out for a nice walk through the fields this morning and my DD said that A meowed loudly the whole time I was gone 😟 he is getting on with B now ok but not with J who is refusing to come downstairs and has just gone out even though it's raining,I hope they get used to each other soon because this is a deal breaker but I don't want to send him back as he seems really happy here
