How lovely of your mum. My mum was the same with me. You should at least have a little treat out of it though, that’s what she wants you to do. Enjoy your week off 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Your sense of purpose for that £200 shows how far you have come, OBL. Like me in my Spendy Decades, I bet the old you would have blown that on bits & bobs pretty quickly. It is a good feeling to be able to put it towards a bigger purchase that you really want.
Re your quiche purchase..... agree it seems a bit daft when you can make a better one & have fresh eggs. We all have days where we feel a bit tired though. When I make pastry for a quiche, I always make double & bake the 2nd pastry case blind, then bag & freeze it so it is much quicker next time round. If there is any pastry leftover after that, I still freeze it as various leftovers can be added to make a couple of tasty pasties or something when the occasion arises. Having a spare ready-baked pastry case in the freezer really does mean a lovely home made quiche can be knocked up simply by chucking a filling in.
Glad you are back to your horsey stuff. We all need something we really enjoy.

Glad you had a nice ride.
How lovely of your mum and you're so disciplined paying it into the bank and putting it to your floor. I would be tempted just to spend it on bits and pieces.
Enjoy your week off. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
What a lovely gesture from your mum, I would definitely say have a small treat out of the money . The horse riding sounded really good , maybe it should be a regular feature on your calendar . Have a good week off .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

I've never thought of making extra pastry for a quiche 🙄it's the pastry making bit that I don't like so making extra would be a really good idea, I am defrosting my freezer this week and then refilling it so I will make some pastry as well, I'm only making individual quiches because DD doesn't like it
I'm glad to be back riding, it really does lift my mood 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -

The horse riding will be a regular thing now I've managed to get back to it, I cant always afford to go every week but I can go two to three times a month normally 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
Lying in bed last night trying to sleep in the heat but my brain was buzzing too much. I was thinking about the fine balance between saving and enjoying yourself at the same time. Riding costs me £30 a week for an hours hack and I love it but I can't stop thinking about how much more money I could save if I didn't go. It's a shame it's such an expensive hobby 🙄Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945

I'm having a busyish week this week and have got some of the jobs done that I had planned but today I have been beaten by the heat, I hardly slept last night because I was so hot,I just laid on top of my bed and was still too hot ☄️🔥☄️🔥
I popped into town to get ingredients for the Gnocchi bake we like and DD wanted to have party food tonight to celebrate finishing uni,she did her last presentation this morning so is now done. Sadly there isn't going to be a graduation ceremony which is horrible after all the work they have done so we are having a party tea with Prosecco tonight 🎉🎉🎉
We have eaten the entire contents of the freezer over the last couple of weeks ,there is one Quorn chicken fillet left in there which I will eat tomorrow then I'm going to defrost it so we can do an online shop and stock up on supplies. We want to do a bulk order of cat litter, wash powder and loo roll because these are the things that are too heavy/awkward to carry home on the bus and I'm going to buy the bits I have put on my meal plan list so I can get organised
I ended up going and lying on my bed for a couple of hours when we got back because I felt awful, all my joints were hurting 🙁 I took some painkillers and it's gone off a bit now
I am supposed to be cleaning out the 🐓🐓but it's too hot to moveOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944
