I have opened a savings account away from my normal accounts that takes a day to transfer back, I’m hoping it will stop me dipping in.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944

Sun_Addict said:I'm glad you've found some inspiration on the saving threads, I must take a look. I'm getting much better at saving and have a budget spreadsheet and enjoy shuffling any leftover money into different savings pots. I've been doing the Virtual Sealed Pot thing for a few years now and this always pays for Christmas. I've also set up a standing order for an amount of money to go out on payday into a monthly saver account which keeps me disciplined. It's like a lot of things you need to form a habit for it to stick.
Ooh you're all motivated with batch cooking and savings 😁Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
I went for a lovely hack today and got to ride a different horse,Dougal was on a date with someone else🙀🙀so today I got to ride a mare called Freckles, she is the same height as Dougal but not as wide so was quite comfy for my little legs . The girl taking us out did warn me that she was more forward going than Dougal ( translates to fast 🙀) anyway we had our first canter across one of the fields belonging to the stables so I got a taste of how fast she was then, it was exhilarating to say the least, then while we were out on the bridle path we had another canter and she really took off🙀🙀🙀it was brilliant fun although I did struggle not to poop my pants at one point 😂😂😂. She is definitely a sparky ride and I loved it because I am a bit of a speed freak when riding. I do hope I get to ride her again at some point but I remain loyal to Dougal because he is just so cute 😀
In amongst to horsey fun I also managed to do a load of washing and get it dry and clean out the 🐓🐓
I was going to do the ironing when I got back but my right shoulder, elbow and wrist are playing up today and I was in too much pain to do it, im right handed and I think the repetitive motion of ironing would have aggravated it, of course riding earlier in the day wouldn't have had any ill effects at all 🙄Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -

Thank you for mentioning the savings thread. I had a look and was amazed at how much people are able to save. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much opening the Help to Save account has focused by mind on saving. Knowing that I can save £50 in each month but if I don’t I’ve missed the chance until next month, seems to have sharpened my focus!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Busy day today😊I was up at 7.30 because I went riding this morning, I didn't have to be there until 10am but it takes me a while to get ready by the time I've sorted the animals out and myself
I got to ride the lovely Freckles again today but it was a slower ride than normal because we had two beginners with us who weren't able to canter. I got to canter at the beginning of the ride though so that was ok. I was happy to plod around today because my back was playing up a bit 🙄
I came home and brought my washing in because it looked like it was going to rain but the sun came back out in the end. I also managed to do all my jobs today so I've baked a banana bread,B has had a bath and the bathroom has been blitzed.
Im on holiday this week so I'm trying to do some jobs each day. Yesterday I caught up on the washing and managed to get it all dry ironed and put away, I washed my living room curtains and got them mostly dry I finished them off today so can rehang them tomorrow, I also hoovered everywhere and polished downstairs
I am intending to do my bedding tomorrow if it doesn't rain all day 😳I've got to go to town because I need some black tape,I had to buy a new twirly washing line because yet another one snapped at the base so I'm going to wrap the bottom half of the pole in tape in the hope it will preserve it for a bit longer.I thought I had some but haven't got any.
I asked my local electrical repair shop about fixing my carpet cleaner today and he said they don't fix them any more, it's a Bissell one and he said the parts are really hard to get hold of and they are really hard to repair, he also said that Vax ones are the same 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
I forgot to say that on Saturday I met my mum in town for lunch. We decided to give it a go to see how it went now that some of the cafes are open. It was lovely to do something normal for a change 😊the only downside was that it was too hot for both of us. My lovely Mum also gave me an envelope of money to treat myself, I tried arguing as normal to tell her I didn't need it but she wouldn't take no for an answer. When I got home and looked inside there was £200 in there 🙀🙀so that's going straight into my house saving fund,I'm not wasting it on fripperies. My first project is the floors so I now have £300 saved towards that, I'm paying it in tomorrow when I go into town 😊
