How are you feeling today ? I had a steam cleaner but it took too long to put together so I think I sold it on. I do have a floor steam cleaner and I love that. It was way too hot for my liking yesterday I hid most of the day inside.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

I was tempted to buy a steam cleaner back in my Spendy Era (complete with assorted bits of kit). I had high hopes of it but found it to be very average in its cleaning performance. It was also a tedious faff getting it out, filling it, fitting various nozzles, etc, so it didn't feel worth the effort to get it out to deal with just a couple of jobs. I barely used it. It was relegated to the cupboard under the sink where it drowned when our kitchen flooded a couple of years later. And thence to the bin. I haven't missed it even once.
I am very old-style now.... made a cracking job of cleaning my kitchen cupboard doors a few weeks ago. I just used diluted 'St*rdrops' (the opaque amonia one which is for tougher jobs) & a couple of cloths made from old cut-up towels.
I would now find it uncomfortable to hold the 'on' button down throughout use, because I have arthritis in my thumbs.

There is a board on MSE called How Much Have You Saved and I spent a pleasant evening reading people's Saving diaries on there last night, I'm all fired up to save now 😀
As far as cleaning goes I will go back to good old white vinegar and bicarb, I haven't seen the opaque S Drops, My Mr W sells the normal one thoughOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -

I felt better this morning but DD wanted to go into town to buy some shoes for work so I went with her and now am in pain again 😟 I'm going to dose myself up with codeine and paracetamol and go to bed. I'm back at work tomorrow but then have two days off,I'm hoping it won't be too busy so I can take it easy.
We sent the steam cleaner back today so should receive a refund soon😊 I didn't need anything in town apart from loo roll,I was fancying cheese and onion quiche though so bought an individual one from Mr S and had it for my tea with some salad. I don't normally buy quiche because I prefer to make my own but was feeling lazy,it was actually really nice ( not as good as mine though 😜)
Ive been reading posts on a board on here called How Much Have You Saved and it's very inspiring. I already know I'm going to save DDs rent money to pay for house improvements and I've worked out that in three months I will have enough to get the floors done downstairs. I need to paint every where in the meantime so I now have a three month timetable to get downstairs painted ( Don't mention the bathroom that I still haven't finished 😀) I have pencilled the bathroom into the week off I have in August, one week of work left and I am off. I have made plans for every holiday I have had so far this year and not done most of them mainly due to a complete sense of apathy that seems to descend whenever I have any time off. I am determined not to waste the next holiday. I know one day I'm meeting a friend for lunch and I will go riding on another day but that leaves the rest of the week to do stuff I keep putting off. I just need my body to play ball and it will be all systems go 😀
