Hope the steam cleaner is good!
My garden looks bland at the minute. I don't know what to do with it xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

It doesn't have a constant steam button which means you have to hold the button down all the time to release steam, this is quite hard on the thumb holding the button down
Its not up to the job they say it is, I tried it on mould removal on the grout in the bathroom and it didn't touch it, tried to remove greasy marks from kitchen cupboard door and again it didn't touch it
The only thing it was really good at was cleaning a window, it did a really good job and left the glass nice and streak free
I am returning it on Saturday when I next get to town and unfortunately will be carrying on with using my normal chemical cleaners around the house 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
Thanks OBL. That's the issue I had expect mine was flimsy and I ended up breaking it. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

How disappointing about the steam cleaner. I’ve got a steam mop and it comes apart so you can use it as a hand held steamer but I haven’t tried it that way. Sometimes good old fashioned elbow grease is the best way.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I have an unexpected day off today because I'm not very well. I was awake nearly all night with pain across my whole body. I've taken some heavy duty painkillers now but I'm fighting to keep my eyes open. I don't want to fall asleep because it will effect my sleep tonight.
Its a lovey warm sunny day here today too. I haven't done anything all day apart from taking B for a quick amble up the road so she could go to the toilet, she is clearly grumpy with me for not taking her on a proper walk but I just don't have the energy todayOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
I hope you feel a bit better tonight. It’s been hot and sunny here too but started pouring with rain at 6.30pm which was a shame.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Sorry to hear you are not so well, OBL. Hope you pick up soon.
I was tempted to buy a steam cleaner back in my Spendy Era (complete with assorted bits of kit). I had high hopes of it but found it to be very average in its cleaning performance. It was also a tedious faff getting it out, filling it, fitting various nozzles, etc, so it didn't feel worth the effort to get it out to deal with just a couple of jobs. I barely used it. It was relegated to the cupboard under the sink where it drowned when our kitchen flooded a couple of years later. And thence to the bin. I haven't missed it even once.
I am very old-style now.... made a cracking job of cleaning my kitchen cupboard doors a few weeks ago. I just used diluted 'St*rdrops' (the opaque amonia one which is for tougher jobs) & a couple of cloths made from old cut-up towels.
I would now find it uncomfortable to hold the 'on' button down throughout use, because I have arthritis in my thumbs.

I have a steam cleaner I bought years ago. I find it is great for defrosting the freezer but not much else.
