My journey to a debt free life

Oops forgot today's update
I've had the day mostly at home today apart from popping into town to get some shopping. I had planned to clean the carpets today but my carpet cleaner decided to break, this was one of my I can't afford it but I'm going to buy it anyway buys from several years ago, it's well out of it's warranty and I'm not sure if it's worth getting it fixed or not, there is a place local to me who repairs appliances so I will pop in there next week to see what they think, it would cost a couple of hundred pounds to replace it so might be worth the repair.
I spent the time cleaning the inside of my front windows ( outside is done by the window cleaner) and I also did the inside and out of the kitchen window, I've just got the glass patio door to do now
I got two loads of washing done too and I'm going to get that in in a minute because it's just gone alarmingly cloudy 🙀
Im cooking Honey and Mustard chicken for tea tonight so I can also take it to work tomorrowOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
Sorry about your carpet cleaner. Hopefully it's something not too costly.
The riding sounds amazing. Ours aren't open yet for me to take DD. It'll probably be September now for us.
Great news about DD starring her job but hope it's not overly overwhelming for her if it's busy. The job does sound interesting though if she's helping all those patients.
Have a lovely day xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x4 -
Glad you enjoyed riding. DD's job sounds very interesting, I bet she'll get a great sense of achievement out of it. I'm like you with all the separate savings pots and won't touch those specifically earmarked for something, if it was all in pot I'd be too tempted to dip in. What will you do for broadband when you send the Virgin box back, are you staying with Virgin? I've been looking at broadband only deals with them but they don't seem to be much cheaper than the basic TV/phone/broadband deal I've already got.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

DD is a bit stressed out because it's so busy and they bombard you with lots of info when you first start so it is a bit overwhelming, I have to keep reminding her that she has only been there for 4 days, it took me 6 months to feel ok when i changed my job, I went from being a cleaner to a HCA and I still have moments now when I feel overwhelmed,I have at least one moment week where I think I cant do this, it's too much, why are people so rude etc etc. I have to remind myself that I'm capable and do actually know my job and I've been a HCA for about 19 years 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -

I will probably have to stay with virgin for my broadband,I was worried that the cost wouldn't be much different to be honest but I suppose any saving is a saving 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
Busy day off today. I've been all around the house with my long feather duster and got all the high dusting done, there were quite a few impressive cobwebs, shame it's not Halloween 😀I tidied and dusted my bedroom and also gave the dolls house that I'm doing up a good dusting too. I hoovered everywhere and got two loads of washing done, it was mostly dry but started to rain so I brought it in and hung it on the airers in the spare room to finish it off.
I then decided to go out and do some bits in the garden ,so I tidied and swept the patio, it gets covered in these tiny leaves that I don't know where they come from and it's crazy paving with lots of gaps so it takes ages, it looks lovely out there now.
Im off to work tomorrow so will be going to bed soon as I have to be up at 5.15 now DD is working so I can take B out for a walk before work, I'm hoping B is going to be ok tomorrow because she has got used to DD being at home over the last 4 months, she does get separation anxiety which we worked really hard to overcome when we first got her but things have changed a lot this year and I sense trouble on the horizon, she has already played up this week when I went out for a couple of hours and left her on her own. It's going to take a while for her to get used to us going out again. I do have a friend who is a professional dog walker/ pet sitter and DD is thinking of asking her to come in once a day when I'm working to take B for a walk, I don't will help but we can tryOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
Your DD's job sounds really interesting, and also an area where I imagine there are likely to be plenty of opportunities in the near future. I hope she soon settles in.
I hope the dog settles, too. Does it help to leave a TV or radio on? The idea of having the dog walker come in is probably a good one (I don't know much about dogs) but I suppose its hard to explain these things to a pet who's had someone at home for so long.

Good idea to have your friend walk the dog once a day. Our dog is used to having someone with her 24-7 so when we go on holiday DD tries to book the week off work.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
