Day off today and I am pottering round at home. Both me and DD have woken up with headaches and sore throats today😟mine feels like I might be getting a cold but could just as easily be hay fever, the hay fever tablets I've used so far this year have not worked properly at all so it's probably that. Dd has taken herself back to bed because she doesn't feel good at all, hers might be a migraine though because she does get them from time to time
So far today I have taken B on a walk through the fields which she enjoyed, I have got some washing out on the line and I have just tidied the kitchen and bleached all the worktops, I don't really have much else to do house wise. I wanted to cut the grass today but it rained in the night so it's very soggy today, the sky is getting cloudier by the minute so i reckon the rain is on its way

I had a close encounter with a baby swift last night 😊I was on my way home with B and saw something flapping in the road, as I got closer I could see it was a newly fledged bird, it was right in the middle of the road by two houses that have cats, I put my hand down and it hopped onto my finger so I picked it up, it then hopped onto my arm and sat there cheeping at me, I wasn't sure what to do with it but didn't want to move it too far because it wasn't far from the nest,I eventually found a space quite high up in the hedge and managed to transfer it to a branch, it didn't look injured or anything so I'm hoping giving it a higher perch might have kept it safe from the cats and given it a boost to take off and fly again, the next it come from is under the eaves of the roof of the house next to the hedge so hopefully it was ok,I didn't see any dead body's when I walked up there this morning 😀

They say that their parents come for them to encourage them to try again. How lovely it perched itself on you though x

That's why I didn't want to move it anywhere too far away, I couldn't leave it on the road though, poor little thing wouldn't have lasted five minutes between the cars and the cats, the parents were there flying around with the other fledglings, there was a shiny silver van parked where I found it so I'm wondering if it flew into that and was a bit stunned 😟

That hack sounds lovely. I hope ours open soon.
Poor bird if it did fly into the van. Glad you rescued it though. I couldn't have left it either for the cars or cats. I used to take them home then read about the parents coming for them and felt guilty as hell for moving them afterwards.
I didn't learn that for years.
    Have a lovely evening x

Just typed out a long post and managed to lose it 😡
Ive had a naughty day today,I've been in town with DD2 and bought a top in Fatface,it was in the sale at 50% off so only cost me £13 😀 it fits really nicely too, I've been after something with 3/4 length sleeves for those cooler days, most of my tops are sleeveless at the moment so sometimes a bit chilly, I'm also a devil for buying stripy tops but this one is spotty 😊 , I also bought a couple of basic T-shirt's in H&M but they are too small so need to go back, it's a pain not being able to try anything on 🙄
DD 2 treated me to lunch at a local coffee shop that was open for people to sit in, we had to order from our table via an app and they brought the food to you. I quite like this way of doing things  because then you can sit down straight away instead of standing in a queue 😀

Forgot to say I actually went into town to buy the tv cable and a couple of birthday cards for the DGC so I bought those as well. I'm giving the DGC money because I'm not sure what they have or haven't got and shopping is a bit stressful at the moment so I thought it would be better, DD1 can either put it in their savings or use it for something later on,Im sure they will get lots of physical presents on their birthdays too
