I've just been and done my banking to make sure I'm on track with everything. I needed to pay the window cleaner so that's done and I owed DD some money for food shopping from the other day so I have paid her back. I've also updated my signature to reflect the SC payment coming out of my account 😊
Im not putting any savings away this month because I have both DGS birthdays to pay for, one is on the 10th and the other is on the 27th.I also had my friends birthday this month, I will restart saving next month. I don't have any birthdays now until my mums in October so should be able to put something away
I've got some vege mince out of the freezer to make a cottage pie for later, that will do me for four meals unless DD decides she wants some, I haven't been eating properly this week due to being in pain and tired so just eating sandwiches mostly. This has to stop as it's not good for me
Due to the general situation at the moment I haven't been paying close attention to anything really,I have kept a slight eye on my finances but not a strict eye and I can feel myself getting a bit lax with the odd spend here and there. I've decided I need to pull my socks up and get back to being vigilant. I've been the same with food and lots for beige food is being purchased because I can't be bothered to cook. I need to plan so I'm making the most of my food budget, prices have crept up so I need to be a bit more savvy in what I'm buying

Forgot to say that I took the two tops I bought back to Sainsburys and got a refund but I bought another one while I was there,I went for a size 10 because their sizes are so big and it's still too big,it fits around the lower half of my body but is baggy on the shoulders and round my chest, so I have to go back again,I'm now giving up on Sainsburys clothes, the sizes are way out, I was quite disappointed because it's a really nice top and was only £10, I have a voucher for M&S that I got for my birthday so I might go and have a look in there next week,it's so annoying that you can't try anything on

It's hard to pay close attention to much at the minute. Food shopping has gone up so much recently which has been difficult to track. I've only ever bought DD clothes from Sainsbury's. T is frustrating that you can't try things on too. X

I've spent the afternoon not doing much at all. I did spend some time reading some posts on the Debt Free Wanna Be board and it has rejuvenated my desire to be careful with my money and watch what I spend.
Im thinking about cancelling my Virgin tv package and just having the broadband because I don't really watch many of the channels on there, I mainly watch Netflix which is paid for separately and I now also have Amazon Prime via DD apart from these I only watch basic tv channels. I don't like paying for something I'm really using that much,I'm not sure how much money this would actually save me though
I made cottage pie for tea with the last of the potatoes, it was yummy and there is enough for tomorrow as well,There would have been four days worth but DD decided she fancied some as well. DD also made a banana bread with some overripe bananas and some left over chocolate, the chocolate has gone all gooey and it tastes very yummy 😍😍Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
I'll be interested in what deal you can get for broadband only as we have Netflix and Amazon Prime and mainly watch them plus free TV channels. One minus point for me is that we don't have a TV aerial so the Virgin box acts as the transmitter. I'm not sure if you can downgrade the TV channels and still have super fast broadband. I really need a decent broadband now I'm working from home.
I used to spend a fortune on clothes from Mr S as I used to go in there a lot during my lunch break. I do find their tops rather large. One more plus about not physically being in the office right now, it's saving me a fortune on impulse shopping.

We got rid of our TV package, OBL. We went through all the channels together & said whether we ever watched each one. It turned out that apart from one channel we weren't fussed about, everything we watched was available on Freeview. We are still with that provider for superfast broadband but that's all, no tv package.
