My journey to a debt free life

That’s sad about those breeds being rare now, I hope something is done to prevent them dying out. I love horses, was mad on them when I was in my pre/early teens. Used to go riding at one stage and still have a lot of my old Riding magazines in a binder. Never did get my own horse though despite pestering my parents relentlessly.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I love the shires and it would be my go to breed if I was to own one. I'm too inexperienced though but hope that will change in the coming years. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

My parents would never buy me a horse but when I was a teenager me and my sister saved up £75 and bought our first pony to share, he was a grey called Prince this would have been around 1977. We sold him but I can't remember why now and I then bought my own from a girl at work, he was a chestnut called Copper I only owned him for two years then I met my now ex partner and sold him so we could move in together, I couldn't afford a horse and a flat 😟 when I was in my mid 20s I bought a mare called Lucy who was also grey but shortly after buying her I found out I was pregnant, she wasn't broken in properly and was quite dangerous so I sold her to an experienced lady to break in properly. I haven't been in a position to buy my own horse since then, I wish I had not met my ex because I would probably still have a horse now 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8947 -

I hope you get to own another horse one day OBL. I like horses and used to ride as a child, but I haven't ridden since I was about twelve years old. I'd love to do it again one day but I've been too busy and impoverished.
It's a shame about losing your Joules. I would miss Fatface and White Stuff if they closed, but I haven't bought any clothes since lockdown so I'm not helping them stay open!
I'm glad you've got more used to wearing a mask now. I suppose you can get used to anything if you have to do it for long enough. Do you alwas wear your home made one on the bus? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

We still have Fatface and White Stuff thank god, I do only shop in both of those when they have a sale though because they are too expensive for me. I am sad about Joules but to be honest I didn't shop in there often, I would always check them out if they had a sale on.
Our lovely John Lewis store hasn't re opened yet either so I'm hoping that's not a bad sign 😟
The only clothes I've bought recently were two tops from Sainsbury's online and they were both huge when I tried them on so I now have to take them back, I was going to post them today but they charge you £3.50 to post returns, I think that's really cheeky so won't be buying online from them again. I now have to make a trip to my nearest large Sainsbury's to take them back, but I thought I can check out their other clothes while I'm there 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
MSE type tip here - White Stuff and Joules have online eBay stores with much reduced prices (probably Fat Face too). Well worth a look as a couple of years ago I got a bag that was £50 in Joules store for £25 online 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
