Hope tomorrow's birthday isn't too stressful for you x
Im hoping the birthday will be ok but I'm a bit nervous, DD 1 hasn't contacted me since out last text conversation so I don't think she is very happy. I can't do a lot about it though so I'm trying not to think about it. We had another email at work yesterday warning us to be extra vigilant about social distancing and following all the guidelines, there has been a breakout at Hillingdon hospital and 70 members of the emergency dept staff have had to self isolate after one member of staff became ill, the management are blaming the staff for not following the guidelines properly 😟

Had a nice day at work yesterday, we are very low on patients at the moment so I spent the day tidying, organising and cleaning things, the day seemed to whizz by
I haven't done much today just took B out for her walk then sorted the 🐓🐓Babs is moulting again 🙄 I'm not sure if something frightened them yesterday but the end of their run that goes along the path had a big pile of Babs feathers all over the floor,it looked like they had had a pillow fight in there😀they are currently pootling round the garden but I'm going to have to round them up in a minute because we need to leave soon, they won't be happy 🙄
I have managed to get a load of washing done this morning so that's on the line,it should be lovely and dry by the time we get back
I started watching a programme called This Is Us on Amazon Prime on Friday night,it's really goood,I watched three episodes of season one in one evening, there's four seasons now so I need to catch up, I still haven't started Little Fires Everywhere though 😀I'm also reading a new book that DD 2 recommended for me ,it's called Sadie it's about a young girl who's sister is murdered so she goes off to track down the killer only to go missing herself, it's really good so far 😊

Right where do I start .......what day is it.......oh yes Thursday..........where did the week go🙀
We had a nice time on Sunday at the birthday party, the birthday boy has grown so much and is a right little character. The wasn't an atmosphere and no one brought up the subject of me babysitting so all was good. DD 1 text me on Monday to say the DGCs other granny is going to start looking after them from the 1st of August and when did I think I would be ready to have them so I told her I wanted to wait until the end of August to see how things pan out now that more people are out and about, she didn't seem horrified at this suggestion so I'm leaving it like that now
Monday was a work day so that was me tied up for 12.5 hours,I can't actually remember Monday so can't really post anything about it....oh yes I did have to phone the stables to cancel my hack because I had a sore throat and was sneezing with a couple of coughs thrown in for good measure, they had asked that people don't turn up with any dodgy symptoms so I thought it best to cancel 😟they were quite happy and I have rebooked for next Monday 😊
Tuesday got off to a bad start because I didn't wake up until 11.30 am, I had a bad nights sleep so stayed in bed, when I eventually got up I was very productive and got lots of house work done
Wednesday was work which was boring and I was glad to get home again,I felt rubbish all day with a sore throat and headache 😟
Today I am off and managed to get up at 9am, I had to go back to the Sainsbury's where I bought the tops that were too big so I could refund them,I got the bus part of the way and then walked the rest, it's the same route that I go on to get to the stables so I wanted to time how long it takes to get there, plus I also wanted to get some exercise . I then caught another bus into town to take back the T-shirt I bought from H&M,I changed it for a larger size. After that I had to pop into my usual Sainsbury's for some bits of food shopping ( didn't want to carry it into town from the other store ) then I came home
I stopped for lunch and a quick coffee because the sun came out and I decided I had better take the chance to cut the grass in the front garden, that's all done now so I'm just chilling out for a bit before sorting out something for my tea
I've still got a sore throat and I'm still not sure if it's a cold or hayfever, I forgot to take my allergy tablet this morning and it got worse after I cut the grass, so I'm thinking it's more likely to be that rather than a coldOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
Oops forgot to say anything about the mask situation. I've been hoping they wouldn't bring it in for shops but had an inkling they were going to because they were dropping it into the government notices on FB,I've noticed that when they start doing this they usually announce a mandatory rule after a week or two. I actually think that they are going to make us wear masks in public soon because they have hinted at it twice this week😟 I really hope I'm wrong but the pattern is there
I don't agree with wearing masks everywhere all of a sudden,I think it's like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. I think it's a sneaky way for the government to pass the blame for a second wave onto us because they will sayy poor compliance is the reason why we have a second wave, they have already started to hint at blaming care homes for the High death rate by not using the correct PPE in the correct way, when in actual fact it wasn't the care homes fault but the governments for not reacting faster and for transferring elderly patients back into care homes from hospitals when they hadn't been tested.
The government should have introduced testing for everyone from the beginning but they couldn't because despite being warned they weren't prepared for the current situation we find ourselves in, they should have told people to wear masks from the beginning if that would have helped but they didn't because they didn't want to put people off going shopping, they now have no choice but to get people to go shopping so have introduced mask wearing too late, they now need us out there to get the economy moving and are trying to convince us that it's suddenly in our interests to wear a mask, it's not going to help and in fact so far as I can see will make things worse, because people still don't know how to use a mask safely, they are not socially distancing themselves because they are wearing masks and have a false sense of security but it doesn't matter because so long as the government have told us to wear masks they are then off the hook when the blame game starts and more people get sick than they did in the first wave, they can pass the buck onto the public for not understanding the risk of not using a face covering properly

Agree, OBL. And as I said in my own diary yesterday, I think if Johnson & co make mask-wearing compulsory (even though, like every other measure, it's been introduced way too late) then that's maybe a few excoriating pages less in the public enquiry dossier which is almost certainly on its way. They can lie all they like about our world beating response, but the truth is that the UK has a shockingly high death rate.
I despise them all.

The blame game has already started and it will end up being the public's fault

I agree about the masks.
You don't need to wear them in pubs or restaurants though, which makes no sense either.
Sorry you're not so good. Allergies are high at the minute. I've noticed my nose struggling xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
Not wishing to add an argument but how do you wear masks in a pub or restaurant. People would be constantly putting them on and taking them off to eat and drink. This from what I have read would cause a greater risk than not wearing them at all. Now opening pubs and restaurants is a whole different discussion.2

In Spain you wear a mask in a bar/restaurant until you’re seated then you can remove unless you get up to go to the bar or toilet so I expect it will be the same here. I think the powers that be are learning on the hoof as this situation is so unprecedented. The countries that are faring better seem to have had stricter lockdown restrictions in place sooner and their people have obeyed the rules unlike here where a lot of folks seem to think they’re immune.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
