Yay,I now have the rest of the week off until Saturday ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰Work was ok yesterday and when I got home DD2 had hoovered everywhere ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰
Today we have been to our big Sainsbury's supposedly to take the top back that didn't fit me,we got there too late though as it has to go back to the click and collect and it shut at 12 ๐Ÿ™„ anyway we got some food shopping so it wasn't a wasted trip. We also bumped into my Mum and Dad who were doing their shopping, we said a socially distance hello but didn't stop to chat because we didn't want to hold anyone upย
I haven't got plans to do anything else today now apart from cook some tea ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hmmm, we do have an aerial, but I'm wondering if it (Freeview) was via Mr F's old Humax box which we had at the time, I'm not sure.ย

You can get Freesat through an existing satellite dish. We kept our sky box when we cancelled and can watch freeview through that. Although can't remember the last time I actually watched normal Tele.

I've just asked Mr F who loves this kind of question & yes, that's right. You should have Freeview built into your smart tv, but you'll need an aerial to watch it, depending on what you want to watch. He said that the apps for BBC iplayer, ITV hub, 4OD & My5 should be built into new smart TVs so it's worth checking that out before spending money on a new aerial. If you want to watch other channels, you would require an aerial. He says if our TV aerial blew off the roof, he'd have to think about whether to pay to replace it because 95% of what we watch is via these built in apps. Hope this is helpful.ย

Yes, we access iPlayer and my5 through the smart TV via streaming. We honestly have no need for the Freeview at all really.

My DD used to have an additional V box but cancelled it when she got a Smart TV. I've got a TV in my dining room that doesn't have an aerial and I bought a cable from eBay that connects to my phone/iPad to the TV and I can watch TV via apps on that. I find it very useful when I'm doing my online workouts as the picture is bigger. For the smaller TVs I have indoor aerials which work really well. A few years ago I had a quote for a roof TV aerial and it was extortionate - they tried to say we needed some super signal booster - we live right at the top of a hill with nothing at the back of us so surely we should be picking up a fantastic signal with nothing to block it.

That's a good idea linking the iPad to the tv,we used to do this with DDs laptop sometimes if we wanted to stream something that wasn't on the tellyย
I think my aerial in the loft is ok,I just need to find the cable ๐Ÿ˜Š
