foxgloves said:Hi OBL - The mask info was really helpful. Thanks. I have followed your suggestion & now have a bag for putting my used mask in between taking it off in the car & putting it in the washing machine. I have also been experimenting with a double layer of plastic freezer bag inserted into the middle layer pocket of my mask. I reckon it is more comfortable than coffee filter paper because it is more flexible & being plastic, I'm thinking it wouldn't allow droplet contamination through to the next layer of fabric.
Glad you saw your daughter for her birthday.

I have made my first face mask, I just need to add the elastic when it arrives and it will be good to go, I held it up to my face and it fits perfectly 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945

I was determined to be productive today so I got up at 9.30 instead of lying in bed until 10.30 and I did everything on my list
Took B for walk along the river to the pet shop to get chicken corn
Did a load of washing and pegged it out
Cleaned out the 🐓🐓 and topped up their food and water
Tidied and cleaned the kitchen
Shredded lots of old paper work and receipts
Got rid of the huge box the TV came in
Cleared up and got rid of some cardboard from under the living room window in the front garden
Polished the living room
Hoovered because there were bits of polystyrene from the TV packaging all over the floor
Copied all my shifts onto the calendar so DD can keep track of where I am 😀
Then I cooked my tea and ate that while watching the news, fetched the washing in, took B out for her evening walk, chased the 🐓🐓round the garden to try and put them to bed
Had a nice hot shower made a cup of tea and sat down to watch the last episode of The A Word which was brilliant as always, spent 40 minutes adding songs from The A Word soundtrack to my Spotify playlist and now I'm going to bed.
Im working tomorrow but not until 12 so I don't have to get up too early 🎉🎉🎉Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
I haven't seen the A word, everyone says how good it is so will look out for it on catch-up. Mr SA tends to hog the TV in the living room at night and he only ever wants to watch programmes about hospitals although I did persuade him to watch another episode of Little Fires Everywhere last night. Don't talk to me about polystyrene, I have the stuff - still got loads from my desk packaging, keep slipping it my bin a bit at a time, going to take weeks to get rid of it all. I did read somewhere that you can break it up and put it at the bottom of garden planters for drainage which is a good idea to make use of it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
