I'm slightly worried I might have given myself food poisoning, I had some Jersey Royal potatoes for tea and one of them was off in the middle. I managed to eat some of it before I realised, and as any good hypochondriac will do I googled the consequences of eating rotten potatoes and apparently they can make you very ill and if eaten in sufficient quantities can actually kill you 🙀🙀it was a tiny potato about the size of a cherry tomato so I'm hoping I will be ok

In other news DD baked a lovely coffee cake today,I've told her this has to stop or we will both need to buy bigger trousers 😀

I got the hoovering and polishing done today so now don't have any housework to do tomorrow. I'm a bit cross with the weatherman because he said it was going to rain today so I didn't put my bedding in to wash thinking I would be able to peg it out and it's been lovely and sunny all day, he said rain and thunderstorms coming in in the afternoon so I didn't want to take the chance 😡

I did find time to make two more masks today so we now have four decent ones, the one I made yesterday out of the thinner material is going in the reject pile because I think it's too flimsy. I've also got the two that were issued by the hospital to use as back up, they are lovely quality material but are a bit big but will do the job

Tomorrows plans are food shopping in the morning for me. I don't need much I've just run out of bread and yogurts  and I need a Father's Day card. In the afternoon me and DD are going on a trip to a little town near to us because DDs mentor from her last placement loaned her some books, she is going to the town at the weekend so she has asked DD to leave the books at the day centre where she had her placement. We thought we could use it as an opportunity to go for a nice walk along the estuary with B. We do have to get the train but it's not far so not too bad. I bet the forecasted rain and thunder turns up tomorrow instead of today 🙄

That sounds like a lovely idea. It is mixed weather here. Lovely sunshine and then awful thunder showers. I am hoping to get out for a walk today. DD and I haven't got out much. We have been busy cleaning and doing other things, but not out for a nice walk. The swan we usually go to see was found dead in the river on Monday. Apparently, the vert had been out to it the week before so looks like it died of natural causes rather than anyone doing anything to her. That makes me feel so much better to be honest. Not that she is gone, but that nobody harmed her.

I hope you don't have food poisoning  😱.

Well done on all the mask making and housework. It's a good idea to have several so that you can wash them after use. You're very clever making them. I don't have any material or elastic and I bought two nice ones on Etsy for £7.50 each and free postage, so I think by the time I bought material and elastic it may not be much cheaper, plus I'm too busy at work to make them (excuses, excuses 🤣). It's very MSE to be able to make your own if you've got the material already 🙂.

I hope you enjoy your three days off. Your day trip sounds nice to the nearby town sounds nice. I'm put off going far afield by the lack of toilets at the moment because I'm the type that needs to go frequently.

Hope you feel better soon.  I once gave myself a very nasty dose of food poisoning by eating beansprouts that although still in date did smell a bit iffy and it's my own fault I should've thrown them away. It was horrendous 😒
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I was fine in the end 😀 I only made masks because I had the material already,I had to buy elastic and just two metres cost me £4.50 and that's only done four masks 🙀I think it would cost the same to make them as it is to buy them if you haven't got the bits already to be honest, I saw some nice ones on FB today made by The Big Bloomers company, they look like T shirt material and were £12.95 for a pack of two which I thought was quite a good price

We had a lovely walk and the sun was shining too😀

Yay........I'm alive and didn't get food poisoning from my dodgy potato 😀
Today started off in a very frustrating way. I went shopping and to get a card for my Dad, I got the card first and used change from my purse to pay for that, then I went to Boots to get some E45 cream only to discover my card wasn't in my purse 😡 I realised I had left it in my work bag. I was supposed to be going to the post office to post my Dads card and present then to get food, but I had to get the bus home. The bus I got on was the one that goes the long way round so I got off at the bottom of my hill and walked up to the house grabbed my card and went back out, but the time I got to the bus stop the bus I had got off was just coming up the road so I got back on and went back out to post my stuff and do my shopping 😀

Me and DD then went to get the train to the town we were visiting but we forgot to check the train times, we jut missed one and the  next one wasn't coming for an hour, they used to be every 20 minutes. We decided to get the bus into town from the train station then a bus from town to the place we wanted to visit, just as we got off the bus it absolutely chucked it down for about two minutes and there were two huge claps of thunder. I was worried we were going to get caught in a storm but the sun came back out and it was beautiful for the rest of the day.
We had a lovely walk and dropped the books off for DDs mentor to pick up, the little town we visited is quite posh and there are some beautiful houses there, I would love to live there but would need to win the lottery 😀

Thats all we did today. I am working tomorrow so I'm off to bed now, I hope you all get some sun tomorrow 😊
