That's not good. When they do things like that, they never factor things like that in. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

That's a real nuisance about the buses. If they have a Facebook page perhaps you could post a question asking if it's permanent or some variation on this? I have a theory that public questions get attention!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

😡Typed a really long post last night and managed to lose it 😡
The gist of it was that the bus situation isn't as bad as I thought because they have changed the times of the bus coming home on a Sunday, it was hourly but there is now one every 15 minutes going in different directions, I can catch either of them but one takes a little bit longer. I walked into town via a different route that brings me out on the road where the new bus stop is situated, the only downside is that it's up a hill so if the bus is at the stop I won't be running for it 😀
There is a problem in the morning getting from one bus to the other but I very rarely catch the bus into town when I'm going to work. The hospital bus runs from the train station which is in walking distance of my house so I normally walk down there, it takes me about 15 minutes to walk down so not too bad, if I get the bus to the station coming home it takes me about 20 minutes to walk home because it's uphill😀
I now have three days off which is nice😊. I'm not sure what I'm doing for two of the days but I'm sure I will find something to occupy me, today I am having a day at home and catching up with jobs,I've one load of washing on the line and the second is just about to finish so I can peg that out in a minute
I've cleaned the kitchen taken B out, and I'm going to strip my bed in a minute, later I will have some ironing to do I'm also planning to clean my kitchen window.
We might have to go shopping tomorrow so I'm going to finish my masks today and if I feel like it I might make some moreOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
Good to hear that the bus situation isn't as bad as you thought. I'm glad I don't have to catch them, I find them a nightmare in normal times. Grateful to be able to do my job from home and for the walk to work to be only 3 miles each way when I do eventually get back there.
Ooh 3 days off - enjoy 😎

Having to catch the bus is the price I pay for never learning to drive, I wish I had sometimes because I would be able to enjoy our lovely countryside more but I would be a nightmare behind the wheel of a car 😀

I've had quite a productive day today,I got all the washing and most of the ironing done,I've just got some bits that were pegged out today to do, they were still a bit damp so I will do them tomorrow. I gave my bedroom a good sort out and changed my bedding. Then I sat down and finished making my second mask plus made a third.I made the third one from different material that is a bit thinner and it's ok but doesn't feel a bit flimsy, mind you it will be easier to breath through. I've got loads of material though so will have a go at making some others as soon as I have the chance
I forgot to post earlier that I was woken up early this morning by a couple of magpies making a racket in the trees outside my house, when I looked out of the window I could see next doors cat had caught and killed a wood pigeon😟I had to go down and dispose of the body so the magpies would shut up, he must have only just killed it because it was still warm, my front garden is covered in feathers. This cat caught and killed a Rook last week,I heard a commotion in the trees from all these Rooks so went out to see what was going on and he was sat in my garden with this huge Rook 😟. I was toying with the idea of getting some bantams the next time I get any chickens but I won't be able to now because the cat will kill them for sure, he has tried it with my chickens but he got attacked so now he leaves them alone

Poor pigeon. It's nasty finding the body: we've had to dispose of them here too. Next door keeps the cats in when she knows there are nesting birds nearby and at the moment a blackbird has set up home in a rose tree right by their back door. It's very hard to save all the birds though. I think a sparrowhawk has been responsible for some of the bird deaths in the past but I've not seen him/her this year and instead we have several magpies.
I'm taking inspiration from you and hand-sewing a mask. Mine is making use of old sheeting as I want to be sure I know what I'm doing before venturing to tackle any 'good' fabrics. Yours is really pretty. Have you used the same fabric for all of them?

Poor pigeon.
I'm not sure I could have disposed of it though. I'm really squeamish about things like that.

Ive made two masks out of that material but I've got two other designs I can use, it's just scrap material from a project that DD never did. I kept it to use in my dolls house but can't use some of it because the pattern is the wrong scale so doesn't look right. I'm going to have another go later to see if I can make a slightly bigger one. I've run out of elastic now though and finding any is really hard at the moment 😟
