Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. I had the loveliest day yesterday and it was lovely to see DD1 at last. We had a really nice evening in the garden chatting about everything under the sun. There was a very funny couple of moments, my patio table and chairs are very old but seemed ok, anyway I sat down on my chair and it broke ๐Ÿ™€ the bottom of one of the legs snapped right off, then a few minutes later DD2 sat down and hers broke too ๐Ÿ™€I know we have both put a bit of weight on during lockdown but not that much ๐Ÿ˜€on further examination I discovered that they were just rotten. We brought the dining table chairs out instead and thankfully the table didn't collapse. I am going to have to invest in new chairs now because one was already broken, luckily the chair that DD1 sat on is a newer one that I bought from a local shop, it's a better made chair so is really sturdy

Today it's actually raining so I won't be doing much outside,I was hoping it might brighten up later but it doesn't look like it's going to. We have been out for a walk with B which was much more pleasant for her than the last few days have been, she was getting a bit too hot. I also have house stuff to do,I still haven't hoovered so will be doing that and I might try and clear the top of my craft desk today, it's looking very messy and the cat has taken to sleeping in amongst all the stuff that's on there, he can't be comfortable because it's mainly paper and plastic packaging ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™„ย

I also need to do my banking and budgeting today,I need to pay the window cleaner and move some savings across into the saving accounts, it will be a reduced amount this month because it's DD1s birthday on the 8th, I gave her her card and money last night so it's already gone from my account, I just have to account for it now, I've also adjusted my signature to show the Stepchange payment has come out ๐Ÿ˜Š

I dont know what your dd new job is but I did community care for a while and nearly always used a moped. It worked really well and the company paid my fuel exesl at the car rate as i dont think it ever occured to them that someone would use a moped. They did know I used the moped. It also had the advantage that it was much easier to park in crowded streets than a car.

Another grey day here but thankfully no rain. I have been really tired today so haven't done a lot apart from a load of washing and we went shopping for food. DD1 bought me some Montezumas giant chocolate buttons in my birthday hamper and they are sooooo nice,I can't stop eating them ๐Ÿ™€

In other news our tv packed up yesterday, my friend gave it to us a few months ago and it was old ( big clunky plasma tv) she gave it to me because it had a much bigger screen than the tv I normally use, it's been great but recently had started making a weird noise, we tracked this to where the cable plugged in and you would have to wiggle it to get it to switch on. No amount of wiggling would work yesterday and then I noticed a slight burning smell, so the tv was swiftly dragged out to the front garden, I've previously had an electrical fire in the house before this one that gutted my kitchen so I'm very paranoid around electrical appliances
I have never had a new television so today I decided that I would treat myself, my Mum had given me ยฃ200 for my birthday so I have used that to buy a new one,I put ยฃ99 towards it from my savings, we ordered it this afternoon and apparently it will be here between 19.00 - 23.00 hrsย
