  • I had an early night last night and went to bed at 9.30 ish I also gargled with some TCP, I didn't get a good nights sleep because something was going on next door, there was lots of banging and then an ambulance turned up and took one of the kids to hospital, that was at 2.30 am I think I went to sleep at about 4am and woke up at 10.30, the good news is the TCP seems to have done the job and my throat is no longer hurting,I did it again this morning and I'm going to do it again before bed,I also soaked my toothbrush (which is actually new) in TCP in case it was harbouring any germs ( or germins as we call them in our house) this is not meant to be disrespectful to Germans but is actually what my daughter used to call germs when she was little :rotfl:

I'm feeling a bit better than I did yesterday which is good because I have work tomorrow :( after tomorrow I have two days off so can hopefully rest,I had to go into town today for dog food and some bits of shopping so I bought some oranges and some Sambucol liquid vitamins to take to try and boost my immune system, it's also meant to fight fatigue and give you energy,I hope it's good because it was expensive

I had to sort the chickens out when we got back because I didn't clean them out yesterday,I'm going to do some sewing later after I've walked the dog and had a nice hot shower, I'm aiming for another earlyish night tonight in the hope I will actually get some sleep, but that all depends on next doors kids being quiet

I heard good things about the vitamins so thought they were worth a try,I'm feeling better than I did yesterday so hopefully if I can take it carefully I will survive work tomorrow. :)

  • Had quite a productive day today, shopping was bought and animals sorted,I also did some washing as I'm not allowed to do any on New Year's Day:eek: I've always been superstitious but often wonder if some of these were started so the lady of the house could have the day off on New Years :rotfl:mi also like to do a first footing ritual with my lucky piece of coal,I might just do it as soon as I get up on New Year's Day because no one will have been through the front door before me 😀

I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight but I can hear next doors kids banging,I can't work out if they are going up and down the stairs or banging on the doors, they have been really good lately so I'm not sure why they are playing up this week,I'm thinking maybe all the extra excitement has got too much :(

The eldest boy did make me laugh the other day after we had a very windy night and a large branch came down off one of my trees and landed in their garden, he enquired when I was going to be round to help them move the twigs in the garden, it was about the size of a small sapling :rotfl: luckily their granddad has a wood burning stove so he came round with his chainsaw and chopped it up for firewood :)

I'm back to work tomorrow so I'm hoping for a steady day that's not too quiet or too busy, there aren't any buses home either because they finish early for New Year's Eve so I will be walking home unless who ever is in charge let's me leave a bit early,I might have to do some grovelling
