Hope you managed to have a nice day yesterday despite having to work.
Re the Christmas planning, I have a spreadsheet listing everything I buy/pay out for so I don't forget anything. I start picking bits up from October onwards and cross them off the list as I go along. I do the same for holidays as it's easy to forget what you really need to take.
Happy Boxing Day xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I love the idea of a xmas planner. I always go overboard on food I like, forgetting everyone else hates it!!!

Well that's Christmas done for another year:beer: work was lovely, we weren't too busy and our matron treated everyone to bacon rolls in the morning, of course I don't eat bacon so I had three hash browns which were yummy
I had to stand in for Santa's chief elf because she was off with a chest infection, we have a small cot that we have made into a sleigh and I pushed that round the ward while Santa handed out the presents,we roughly know who is going to be there on the day so we wrap and label a present for each patient and their siblings if they have any, there are also spare presents left for anyone who gets admitted over Christmas and the days following up to new year ,this year the donations of toys reached epic proportions and I really don't know what we are going to do with it all, we do use it throughout the year because if a patient comes in and has a birthday while they are with us we give them a birthday present, it was good fun :j the local fire brigade came in and helped dish out lunch as well and they brought Fireman Sam:rotfl:
We left on time and one of the nurses I work with dropped me home so I was home by 2pm,me and DD then got the lunch on to cook,it doesn't take long because we dont have any meat to cook, after lunch we played games all afternoon and evening, we took the dog out for a walk at tea time then both came home and put on our new pjs,it was very relaxed and lots of fun
DD2 got me some lovely presents,I've got books to read and knitting needles plus every year me and my DDs buy each other a Christmas decoration, this year DD 2 bought me a lovely cross stitch kit to make a Christmas sign to hang on the wall, she wanted to get me something to make and a decoration that wasn't for the tree ( it's full and we now need a second tree :rotfl:) so I'm going to start that soon, it's so prettty
I also have a thing for Christmas village houses that light up and she got me one of those it's Santa's workshop and it lights up plus there are little people that skate on the top ,it's so cute and my aim is to collect enough of them to make a Christmas village of my own,I've got three now :j
Today DD1 came over with my SIL and the DGC,DGC1 was so cute and insisted on handing out the presents to everyone,he kept saying "I wonder whats in that one " :rotfl: he loved his kitchen that I got him and the toy trains from DD2
DD1 gave me money for Christmas and is also buying me a photo frame for when I have the photo shoot pictures printed, they didn't get me a Christmas decoration this year, instead my SIL bought me a book called Scandi Christmas ,it's a craft book with 45 ideas for gifts and decorations,I love anything Scandinavian and this book is lovely,I'm going to be making lots of decorations for next year and also some gifts,I'm quite excited by it :j:j
So the old year hasn't ended yet and I already have things to make,I also got my sock needles so will be able to start making socks soon DD 1 is going to bring her book over with patterns and teach me what to do,I can't wait :money:
They left at tea time because they have friends coming round tonight so I'm now relaxing on the sofa and catching up on my social media accounts,I am sooooooo tired though so I don't think I will be staying up late,I've got work again in the morning so need to get some good sleep
I hope you all had a lovely time too
Ps My friend messaged me to thanks for her Christmas present that I made and she loved it :TOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Love that she messaged about the present. What a lovely gift idea as well. It is great that you can make your own decorations next year and socks as well.
I have seen a knitting by hand course that I want to go on. Have a lovely evening and also hope that work tomorrow is as nice as today.

Another day at work completed, I didn't actually do the whole shift today because i have AL to use up so took some hours and left early,I'm not feeling too good because my sore throat has come back and I feel like I'm getting a cold now😟 I'm hoping it won't come to anything,I didn't have a very good nights sleep last night so I'm hoping I will sleep tonight
I got home and tidied up a bit, I also did two loads of washing then I sat down and started sewing the Christmas decoration that DD 2 bought me,I'm going to try to go to bed soon because I am shatteredOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941
