  • Well I went to bed at 9.30 last night and woke up at 10.30 this morning:eek: I had a slow start to the day then took the dog for a slow walk around the block,it was nice to get some fresh air
I came back gave the chicken house a quick clean and let them out for a run round the garden and then I had a quick hoover round downstairs

After lunch time I sat down with a cup of tea and did some more of my sewing, its called Nutcracker Christmas so has two toy soldiers, some Christmas trees and some presents on a shelf with Noel written underneath,I'm really enjoying stitching it because it's a nice simple design so I haven't got to concentrate too much

I'm off to the kitchen in a minute to prep veg for tea,DD2 is going to cook a roast for tea with left overs for me to take to work tomorrow, I'm still not eating proper meals as my appetite has gone,I did eat my Christmas lunch but that seems to have filled me up for the rest of the week,I am making myself at least eat the veg tonight as I feel my body needs some vitamins

The Scandi craft ideas book sounds lovely, OBL. I find that Scandi decorations are often nicely simple.... just natural colours, or white & red and I like that they are not usually over-fussy. I enjoyed reading about your festivities on the ward.

  • Hope you are feeling better soon. There are so many bugs going about, and working in a hospital must also take its toll on you as well.

Hopefully you get your appetite back for your dinner. At least you will be one of the only ones not to have over indulged over Christmas!

It's a lovely book and full of ideas I can easily make, there is a lovely table arrangement that can I can actually make mostly using things from my garden and a cute garland made out of cream felt that I like,I've just been looking through my craft stash and I have cream felt plus I've always got lots of embroidery thread so those two won't cost anything to make, there are also a couple of salt dough decorations in there,I haven't made salt dough for years but it's so easy and I had forgotten about it :)

  • I've given in and taken the day off work today,it's not ideal but I feel so rubbish and need some down time,I've got tomorrow off anyway so hopefully I will feel better in time to go to work on Tuesday
I'm fed up with this flaming sore throat that keeps coming and going and I would quite like to eat something and enjoy it at least once this week,I just made myself a coffee but I can't drink it, it's making me feel sick so that's gone down the sink,I will have to stick to tea and lemonade

Ive got to go to town tomorrow for dog food and veg so I'm going to stock up on fruit and get some vitamins to see if that will help me get better

I might do some sewing later if I can wake myself up or I might just go back to bed 😟

Boo to feeling carp :( Hope it clears up soon. Get some rest.

Sounds like it was a lovely Christmas on the ward, no one wants to be in hospital at this time of year but it's brilliant that it's made to feel special :)
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Had a look at the glass website. They are beautiful OBL. I feel gutted that I am not able to get to their courses x
