I hope the doctor is okay with the HRT for you.

It's so sad about Eric... he was young, wasn't he? Obviously not something you would have had any warning about. :(

Sorry to hear about Eric :( Little furries seem to be so fragile and succumb to things we don't even realise are wrong with them. Sending you virtual hugs xx

Fingers crossed for the HRT xx

Awww, poor Eric. That is always the sad thing about small furries, isn't it? They are so cute & funny but they have short, intense lives & don't live nearly as long as we would like them too.

Yes he was young, we thought he had gone into hibernation because they can do that under the right circumstances but I he was definitely dead,we did a bit of research and apparently it's quite common for dwarf hamsters to have heart problems ( cardiomyopathy) so it might just have been that his heart stopped working,he looked very peaceful so I don't think he had suffered

Thanks SA, you just never can tell how they are really unless it's something glaringly obvious :(

  • I'm sorry to hear about Eric. It is upsetting when a pet dies, regardless of what kind they are.

Hoping you get to stay on the HRT or at least get a good alternative.

I always get really overwhelmed when I need to have people over at Christmas so I have stopped doing it. That probably sounds awful, but the stress was really affecting me. x

I'm not too keen on having people over but it's only DD1 and my son-in-law plus the DGC so not too bad 😊

  • Phew this week has been busy, I think I can actually stop rushing round like a headless chicken now

Monday's most important moment was my gp appointment which went really well and she has renewed my script for HRT for another two months, then I have to go back and be reviewed again, she should review me at three months but she seems to only want to give me a couple of months at a time

After that we went Christmas food shopping which was interesting, we went to our nearest massive MR T and there were so many gaps on the shelves it was ridiculous,we did manage to get most things with some extras bought in town, I just have to get the fresh stuff now

Yesterday was my day for a visit from DD1 and the DGC, we had fun playing with trains and cars,I spent the evening sewing while watching Xmas documentary's on channel 5 with a glass of chocolate wine  I also wrapped mum and dads presents to take to them today because I won't see them now until after the new year

Today I went to Mum and Dads to have my hair cut and drop off the pressies,I had to detour through town first because I realised late last night that that I had forgotten to buy a card and present for my Dads birthday on the 27th of December:eek: after that I went back through town to get some of the bits of shopping I couldn't get on Monday, then I came home to polish and hoover the house downstairs, upstairs will be done tomorrow

I did plan to clean out the chickens today but it was raining so hard I had to leave it,I'm hoping I will get chance to do it tomorrow or Friday now, the weather is not looking good though, I did their house so that's clean for them to sleep in but had to leave the run ,I took them some meal worms to cheer them up because they hate being shut in,Ginger is moulting though and they can get quite run down while they are moulting so I didn't want her to get soaked,I can dry them with the hair dryer but she has lots of new feathers coming in at the moment and they are really sharp so it's uncomfortable for the hen to be handled, Babs is looking beautiful at the moment her bum feathers or bloomers as I like to cal them are looking very frilly:rotfl:poor ginger looks like someone has had a go at her with a strimmer

We might be going on our ill fated trip to the local garden centre tomorrow or Friday too ,we are going to decide in the morning depending on the weather, there is an amber warning in place so not too good

  • I'm shattered reading all of that. I still have to clean my house from the October half term!
