My journey to a debt free life

My poor little dog has got arthritis 😢she has been put on anti inflammatory meds and will be reviewed in three weeks, the vet did some blood tests as well to rule out kidney problems and thankfully her kidneys are functioning well, her heart and lungs are in good shape too so that's good,it's just her poor joints that are not too good,we have a plan of action though so hopefully she will be feeling better soon, she was definitively in pain this week but now she has had two doses of anti inflamatory meds she looked a but perkier today,I am now £200 worse off though
I might be able to claim it back on my insurance if it's not the same problem she had before
Today I went to have an eye test and I need new glasses,I didn't have time to pick any out today so I'm going to go back next week hopefully,I booked an appointment for next Friday then when I got home I remembered I'm working next Friday 🙄
My memory is getting so bad it's ridiculous, I went and bought some food on the way home and also had to go into wilkos for wash powder while I was in there I bought myself a peppermint cream chocolate bar as a treat completely forgetting that I had just bought some chocolate covered pretzels in Sainsbury's:eek: I came home and was unpacking my bags when I found the chocolate and for a few minutes I had no memory of buying it :eek:so now I have two treats :jOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
I'm getting like that OBL, I think we're having what they call senior moments :rotfl:.
What a shame about your dogI hope the meds help and you can claim it on the insurance. How are your chickens?

Definitely senior moments, I was told the HRT im on would help but I'm not sure if it's making it worse 😂
It is a shame about my dog,she is such an active little dog too so be in pain and not be able to run around as much is very sad, she also forgets she is getting on so tries to do the things she did when she was younger,DD2 ordered some steps from amazon to help her get on and off the settee and she just jumped straight over them:rotfl: we are sending them back because they are a bit flimsy and I don't think we will get her to use them
The chickens are ok,they've been a bit grumpy this week because it keeps raining so they have been shut in the run,I let them out today for a couple of hours and there was lots of chuntering going on as they stomped past me :rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Today is an at home day,I've got washing to do and im determined to do some sewing at some point, it's currently chucking it down outside so any washing that's done will have to dry inside which is annoying
I've also got to take the dog out and I'm meant to be combining the walk with a trip to my gp because I need to put in a repeat prescription request,I do think I'm going to be doing that though because it's too wet out there
I was supposed to be going out for a meal tonight with a friend but we decided to cancel it because DGS is staying tonight (DD2 is babysitting ) and it would have been too complicated to sort out, it's lucky I did cancel because poor DD2 is ill today, she has a wisdom tooth that's been coming through for what seems like years and it's decided that this weekend is a good time to play up and give her tooth ache, she has been up all night so didn't go to uni today and has just gone back to bed
I hate tooth ache, it makes you feel so miserable, she had dosed herself up with ibuprofen to see if that will help
We are supposed to be taking DGS to Paignton Zoo tomorrow so I hope the rain calms down a bit and she is not still in pain otherwise we won't be able to go DGS mum and dad are going to a wedding so it would be nice if the rain stopped, so we have DGS on Saturday night too, they are picking him up on Sunday morning but I will be back at work so won't see them
Right the rain looks like it's stopping again so I'm going to dash out with the dogOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
I'm sorry about the dog and arthritis. My mum used to give her dog cod liver oil capsules. Not sure whether she should have, but she did!
Hope the weather makes it possible for you to go to the zoo.
Wisdom tooth ache is one of the worst things I have ever experienced. I've had all of mine out as a result of them being infected and it was the best thing I ever did. I hope they calm down soon for her. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -

Yes it's ok to give them cod liver oil, she is having CBD oil at the moment to see if that will help, most of the time you wouldn't know there was anything wrong with her, she overdoes it sometimes and then pays for it later, a bit like me:)
DD 2 has still got toothache but it's not as bad,I had all my wisdom teeth out because they were impacted, it wasn't nice at the time but I'm glad I had it done
We did get to the zoo yesterday and had a really nice day, it didn't rain until we were leaving :jOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Yay we survived DGS staying over for two nights, his mum put him to bed on the first night but he woke up crying about half an hour after she left, this is unusual for him as once he's asleep he normally says asleep,he was ok after a cuddle and I explained that mummy and daddy had gone out
We made it to the zoo and the weather was very kind to us, DGS seemed to enjoy the day, he can be quite nervous around animals but once he realised they couldn't touch him he was ok, we did go through the petting zoo bit where there are Pygmy goats but that was more for me than him,I love goats and got to cuddle several while we were there, one did try to help himself to some snacks I had forgotten were in the basket under the buggy, but luckily I realised and managed to get them out before he found them
DGS was especially interested in all the reptiles, there is a Komodo Dragon there that is huge and DGS just sat on the floor watching it for ages, he also loves fish so we spent some time looking at some cute little blue fish that he liked
All in all it was a really nice day out but we were shattered when we got back, DGS slept like a dream last night though which was lucky because I had to go back to work today
I was late for work this morning because my taxi that I booked last night didn't turn up on time,I had to phone them and they managed to find a car to send to me,I keep saying I'm going to use a different company but the one is use sort of monopolises the market so it's hard to find another one
Work was fairly busy for a Sunday but not manic so quite nice, the day went by quite quickly ,the only trauma of the day was the fact that it's Daddy long legs season and all the windows are open so the ward was full of the flaming things,I am actually terrified of them due to an unfortunate incident where one went in my mouth,I was trying to make beds in the bay but had to keep running off because they kept flying towards my face, there was a mum in there who is also scared of them and I felt so sorry for her because she has to sleep in there tonight with her baby, there is no way I would have slept in there,at this time of year my windows are closed well before it gets dark so nothing flies in
I now have two days off so tomorrow plans are to have a clean and tidy of the house and I also need to pop into town for some bits of shopping,I also have some ironing to do so will try and get that done, then if I have time I will do a bit of sewing,I got quite a bit done on Friday while I listened to a podcast
DD1 will be coming over for the day on Tuesday,I'm not sure if we are doing anything yet so will wait and see
I'm now off to bed because I am just starting to feel sleepyOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
I'm glad you made it to the zoo, I like that zoo but haven't been for years.
We have lots of daddy long legs invading our house too at the moment, it must be the time of year for them!
I hope you enjoy your days off.

Thanks Hairy,it was a good day although we felt a bit sad when going past the now empty elephant enclosure:(
It's definitely the time of year for daddy longlegs, today was ok because it chucked it down all day and I don't think they can fly very well when it's raining:rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
I've had a busy day today,I popped into town to get some shopping,I didn't need much but wrote a list anyway because my memory is shocking, anyway I got to the supermarket and couldn't find my list,I found it on the path when I got home so it must have fallen out of my pocket,I did remember to buy everything that was on it though so that as a bonus
I got two loads of washing done but it's rained all day so they are on airers and radiators,I also polished and hoovered everywhere ,I didn't get time to do the ironing so will hopefully get chance to do it tomorrow when DGS goes for his nap
I also cleaned out the chickens and did manage to let them out in the garden, they had to dodge the rain showers though so there was lots of complaining going on, they seem to think that not only am I in charge of all the food I'm also in charge of the weather:rotfl:
The dog wasn't impressed either because she had to wear her coat out on her walk and she doesn't like it, she also hates getting wet so I can't win there either,I do like to keep her as dry as possible when she goes out because she takes ages to dry and I'm sure that's not good for her joints,I can dry her with the hair dryer but she really doesn't like it and I don't like to stress her out too much, she is quite a delicate little flower :rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941
