I've just updated my signature to reflect my current finances, the Xmas fund stands at £400 this month,I'm going to put another £100 in there when I get paid next week and that is Xmas paid for,the emergency fund has been changed to reflect the difference in money from the vets bills I hadn't subtracted,so it's now all up to date
Although my money is looking ok I have been a bit lax in keeping an eye on things so it's been more by luck then from judgement that its looking ok,so im going to be a lot more proactive in keeping an eye on things now,I have become aware that I'm leaving it for far too long in between checking my bank account to make sure things are running smoothly and I'm not drawing out the cashfor my food shop,so I need to get back into doing this as it's easier to keep an eye on my spending
I am also getting back into cooking once for four meals,I made a cottage pie last week because I was craving it and it was so nice and lasted me four days,I don't like fake mince much but have found one made by a company called Vivera that's tastes like the real thing,it's not cheap at £2.50 a tray but probably the equivalent of a tray of beef mince, however pricing it up I reckon it cost me about £3.50 for the whole meal so £3.50 spread over four days is a cheap meal
Over the summer I haven't eaten properly and have been mainly living on sandwiches which I am now paying for with ill health,so I'm making a proper effort to cook good food,I am making myself eat fruit and veg everyday as well and I've bought myself some Feroglobin liquid iron and vitamin supplement because I'm anaemic again, hopefully all these measures will boost my health in time for winterOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
I'm sure the healthy eating will make a big difference to your health and energy levels.
It's great that your Christmas savings are looking healthy and that you're proactively getting on top of your finances again.

I hope so Hairy,I'm feeling in need of hot comfort food at the moment,I've also bought some Feroglobin iron and vitamin liquid so hopefully that will help too.
I'm really pleased that Xmas is almost paid for as that means any spare money can go towards the flooring fund that I'm still trying to build up, the flooring fund is in the same saving account as my emergency fund,so the emergency fund is still at £1000 and I have £350 saved for the flooring,I won't be able to have it done until after Christmas now but I'm hopeful I can get it done in the new year at some pointOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Work went well today,I was in a clinic all morning then back on the ward after lunch,I finished at 3.30 today so wasnt on the ward for long, just long enough to make some beds,we now have fitted sheets in our hospital and they are great, really soft and actually stay on the bed unlike the flat sheets we normally use,I've been waiting nearly 26 years for someone to invent a fitted sheet suitable for use in a hospital, they make changing the beds so quick and easy
I'm now on holiday for a week so I'm looking forward to chilling out over the weekend,I am planning on doing some more work to the bathroom of doom this week because I still haven't done it,it's all down to my lack of motivation but I think once I get started it will be ok, I bought a tester pot of paint to try out,it's a lovely pale grey but the annoying thing is it only comes in kitchen paint and not bathroom so I'm hoping it's ok to use in a bathroom otherwise it's back to the drawing board
I also have sewing still to do so I'm going to be doing some of that this week,I listen to podcasts while I'm doing it and it's nice and relaxing
All this activity depends on my shoulder and neck getting better over the weekend, it hasn't been as bad today but it's still a bit painful so I need to be careful
Tomorrow morning I am planning on having a lovely lie in to start my weekend off in the right way😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -

I suffer if I don't eat properly as well OBL, It can make me feel so low and down. Glad you are meal prepping. I also need to get into the habit of doing this.
