How nice to have a group of cousins close in age!

I hope your little dog is better soon. I'm glad you had the money set aside though what a pity about the policy. At least between the heat ad the rain she may not be too tempted to go running about.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been about,I haven't been feeling too good over the last couple of weeks, most of it is down to the menopause and everything that goes with it,I've seen my gp now and she has given me HRT because the anti depressants just weren't working,I'm on both at the moment and will see how it goes, it might be that I have to stay on them both but I will see

I've been on holiday this week but DD2 decided to repaint her room so of course I ended up helping her do that, it's taken nearly all week to get it done,I have tomorrow left then I'm back at work

My dog is still not quite right, she is still on restricted exercise and is struggling on the stairs a bit, she seems happy enough just a bit stiff

Nothing else of note has happened lately

Welcome back, have missed you. Sorry you are feeling blue, I have been a bit down too, can't even blame the season like in the winter. Shame the menopause is affecting you, I am dreading it tbh, hopefully still a few years yet, but after researching perimenopause I am recognising a lot of symptoms.

    Hope the hrt helps.

Thanks for the update. I'm sorry you've not been so good. Hopefully the new combination of treatments will be the right thing.

Have a relaxing day tomorrow x

Awww thanks,I've been having problems for a while but my gp just kept upping the anti depressant even though it wasn't helping, getting HRT is like getting blood out of a stone, now I've got it I'm really hoping it agrees with me

I have unknowingly gone through the peri menopause stage and been quite ill on and off,I just didn't know it could effect you in the way it has

  • Hi OBL sorry you are struggling with the menopause and hope the HRT helps. After reading the book you recommended the symptoms sound awful. I have been given a surgical menopause due to my cancer scare (massive cyst on my ovary, thankfully benign). I was awaiting hot flushes galore but nothing yet and am 4 weeks in so I suppose I won’t get any now. Sleep, feeling really ‘flat’, and anxiety is another thing mind you. My mum was on HRT when it was easy to get and she stayed on it for 30 years! Don’t think they would allow that now lol.

    Hope it works for you.

Glad to see you back posting but sorry to hear you're suffering with menopause symptoms :( I hope the combination of meds helps, do whatever you can to get through it. I don't think it's fair all this stuff we women have to go through - periods, PMS and then the menopause :(
