    Evening everyone

I'd love to do your car/van Dizzy if you were closer. I've found it such a help having a G-T*ch hand sucker-upper and it's great for doing a car :D

To add - I am very fortunate that I have enough money that I could have it done again. But so gutted and no sure how to do that whilst being fair to the painter because if he doesn't come tomorrow he will lose a days work. Can just the wall paint be done without doing the woodwork if he comes back?
Lots and lots of people find it difficult to imagine a whole wall or even a door painted a colour until they actually see it done - happens all the time.

Don't worry - I was a painter/decorator in a previous 'life' and it's quite possible to do woodwork first and walls second, especially if woodwork gloss and walls emulsion. Just leave a couple of days for gloss to dry out fully. Remember that emulsion will quickly wipe off gloss anyway if you do go over ;)

    Dailies done
    Spanish lesson done
Dusted all through top to bottom

Went to library - hoorah !
    Took repeat prescription to surgery
    Shopped at Mr Al*i

    Put shopping away
Sorted out one file of paperwork
Checked bank account and did the monies shuffle
    Made and scoffed dinner
    Started soup for tomorrow
WUDUPA and did bunkers, hob, micros, sink and drainer

Monday Madness- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Clean floors in these rooms

Terrible Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Sweep and mop floors

Weird Wednesday - Living Room and Hall
Vacuum floors and sofas, inc under furniture if you can move it without rupturing your usher!
    Extra Mission:
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.

Hugs, sticks and spoons if you need some
Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday

No vomit is definitely a result, Valli! Sounds like a great day was had by all.

Dog did really well at the vet's tonight and continued to make friends with the nurse. Hopefully this year's booster won't be as bad as the last one.

Meeting after work tomorrow which will not be pleasant. After that I'll be finishing off the tax return and then I'll have a look at the lists.

Lynnejk thank you so much. When oh got home felt a bit calmer. Going to let him do the woodwork tomorrow, pretend I love it and see what I think in a month, if I don't love it by then I'll ask him back to just do the walls. Thanks for letting me interrupt with my little crisis. Argh!

Very little flying done by me yesterday, but my lovely DD2 did load DW so I put that on, she also did my supper when I got in late.

But big success is FROG is gone, yesterday I finished, checked and posted off the nationality request with a huge sigh of relief. It has taken 8 months (mostly procrastinatin) but has been hanging over us so feeling very pleased with myself especially after 10 hours of forms, copies etc over the weekend. Now we just to have to wait and see and deal with any queries they have and wait and wait and wait.

Still suffering from lurgy but slept reasonably last night so feeling so much better, nearly human, I might not murder my classes today.

You are all doing so well, I feel ashamed and a fraud but you lot really are a great inspiration, and just knowing I am not the only one who struggles with the housework is reassuring.

Time for 2nd cuppa then get moving

One day the others will find out that I am just one big Flylady Fraud - so don't worry about it! And you have eaten a massive frog, which is one big tick.

For some reason I am struggling to keep up with just the dailies and life atm. I'm not entirely sure why, but the most ridiculous things are just throwing me. Today I have to be all over the place, so I have written myself a list and going to see if I can do any of it. First off - battle through the roadworks, and back home via doctor's again to repeat yesterday's visit. Not my fault, but I have to put it right. Thinking about it, it is probably the stupid roadworks that are getting to me, as my tightly organised days are falling apart as I'm late for everything. I don't do late very well.

Right, onwards and upwards. Will report back later. Have a good day.
  • Morning all,

Laundry dried in front of woodburner last night, I've decided not to use the TD now unless absolutely necessary as our energy bill is climbing, watch this space!

Will set the DW going shortly - beds already made. Priority today is more eBay listing - DH told me last night he has no work next week. This happens from time to time, I refuse to fret and will instead be practical. Batch cooking also on the cards for today, and a freezer inventory.

Will report back later, have lovely days all x

    Hello

Just reporting in to let you know 1 lb decluttered this week in Slinky challenge. :T I'm fighting the mind-set that wants the weight to drop off quicker - been there, done that (three times :o) it goes back on just as quickly and brings it's friends to stay :( - I'm eating differently NOT dieting. Sustainability is the keyword!!!!

Flying is taking a back seat as it usually does during the week - you are not alone Fayolle and I don't have any roadworks to battle through :o I make the bed and feed the birds daily - the other 'dailies' are hit and miss. Maybe lighter nights will make a difference - who knows?

    Have a good day all

Praying that in the morning light the colour might look different and you like it a bit better this morning, can you afford to pay to have the room repainted? If not I would suggest living with it for a couple of weeks and if you really don't like it have it redone

Really feel for you, I remember years ago when DD was a baby, we lived in a converted house, the man who lived above had a fire and as a result we had to repaint our bedroom, I chose a cream colour and a pinky red paint to paint a border around the top - when I got home the decorator (insurance company not one of my chosing) rather than painting the border in straight lines he did it in wavy lines - I was horrified but was so embarrassed told the man i loved it - he said he thought the colour was mexican and so was inspired by a mexican wave :rotfl::mad::rotfl: I lived with it for 3 years
