I don't post very often, and I'm 4 weeks behind in reading so still on the thread for the first week in January but I am - having a panic and need some advice. We have just had a painter and decorator in - never done that before - to do a big room, we did tester pots etc. I've been out at work and come back and I hate the colour. Had a big cry. What do I do? He is back tomorrow to do all the woodwork. I'm really embarrassed and so so gutted.0
-
To add - I am very fortunate that I have enough money that I could have it done again. But so gutted and no sure how to do that whilst being fair to the painter because if he doesn't come tomorrow he will lose a days work. Can just the wall paint be done without doing the woodwork if he comes back?0

Doobop.. I did the same with my hallway.. I had it done yellow and hated it.. so I told him to stop.. I went out and bought a different colour, took it home and said I'm sorry but please do it this colour instead.. the guy was lovely about it.. it happens a lot.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Back again! Next week I'll see if I can actually do a whole week! Major stress gone as finished loaning Huck yesterday and good news as found another one who is literally only 5 mins down the road so very happy!
Haven't done anything from lists but did so some washing today and yesterday. Not riding again till Friday so will see what I can do over the next few days.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Thank you pigpen. Feel like such a plonker and someone has paid for it as a lovely, lovely gift. Don't want to fess up to them that I've made a bad choice. I won't be able to get new paint for tomorrow, so if he doesn't come back tomorrow he has lost a day's work.
Edited to add, tried to ring him, no answer0 -
WM run, clean washing sorted and returned to owners, bedding changed ready to wash in the morning, dinner cooked, kitchen tidied, fridge contents looked at - not inspiring.
Sorry - I had to list out the little that I had done, as I thought I'd actually done nothing in the way of flying. I came home from work with an almighty stress headache again, so that had better not be becoming the norm. I really ought to get myself in gear and do something useful now, but I think it might be pjs and do nothing time.
Mumof2 - glad you managed to get a new loan sorted. Enjoy!0 -
