Morning all!

Lynne - can I bring my car (& van, if you have the time) to yours for a valet please? I fancy a day trip and I'm too lazy to shovel out my vehicles. The dogs and kids soon make it filthy inside....sigh...
Got a nurse friend coming over this morning who is in a desperate state over her husband's ill-health. She wants a sympathetic ear, which is fine, but I'm not sure what to say as I know nothing about endocrine disorders
Flying today will consist mainly of decluttering cream cakes. That, combined with the ice cream last night is the reason I am a failing slinky. No will power and a greedy guts.
I have joined a Pilates class on Thursday evenings. I know it's not particularly calorie-burning exercise, but....I just hope I don't snore!0 -
Morning,
I've had to swap jobs around today to fit in DD's appointments later in the week, so I am mighty confused. Have to drop into the dr before work, which will make me a bit late, and to make it worse a second set of roadworks were set up last night which were effectively gridlocking the whole area. One day common sense will prevail.
I'm hoping to be home early afternoon to actually get to the lists. Oh - and I forgot to get the dinner out of the freezer so let's hope it defrosts in time now.
Have a good day, catch up later.0 -

As a growth hormone deficiency, throxine and T1 diabetes nerd.. you don't need to know anything.. she knows it, she has researched the disorder and any possible treatments, experimental or otherwise to the far end of a flys fart.. ask her questions about what you don't understand and she will tell you the answers and it will make it less scary in her mind and she will be able to process it and deal with it much better.
Keep filling her mug and flinging cake and biscuits at her.. you'll be reet!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Ironing done
Dr's apointment decluttered, she rushed me in and out as she was running behind, I did question my results, it seems some are good / bad, but I am none the clearer on anything......................but my blood pressure is down, so that is good. Diabetic nurse appoint made for mid Feb as that is the earliest one they had.
So in the mean time I will be a good slinky and keep at it, (again, as I lost loads of weight a few years ago, but put it back on,) so in theory I have just worked out by the time of my next apointment if I can lose 4 lbs per week I will have lost about 10 to 12 lbs, so that has to make a difference...............onwards and upwards...............

Morning all  Just popping in quickly because I'm feeling overworked, underpaid and short of time - and that's not a good combination! Like all things, this too will pass...
Dizzy, pigpen has given you excellent advice. Just check whether your friend likes cream cakes. If not, do her a favour by eating her share!
Well done to all Slinky losers. I have stayed the same again for the 3rd week in a row, which is a bit meh, but at least it's not a gain. I ate a very large chunk of cake on Saturday which I shouldn't have done, so I'll put it down to that. And to compensate I did win the prize for having got my name in the 3 lb bag this month (i.e. I lost 3 lb or more in a single week in January), so I now have a high street gift voucher to spend :T
Had to make a difficult phonecall earlier regarding a mistake that I had made over some financial recording, but that is now sorted and peace restored - phew!
College is being particularly annoying atm as we have been given all the wrong course particulars on Moodle for the new module starting tonight, so I can't do any prep from the recommended texts. Will read something similar from another book to show willing, but it's very frustrating and I don't do frustrated well!
So now
- essay prep for an hour
- Hair appt 12.30 - shave it all off again, it's driving me mad
- Lunch
- Dog walk (hopefully in the sunshine)
- 4.00 meeting at college, then lectures
- home late
All flying suspended until Thursday, probably.
Tomorrow is DH's birthday but I have to go out early-ish for a meeting with one of my supervisors (she'll give me some useful pointers for my essay :j), so DH will be able to have a lie-in if he wants to :rotfl: He says he'll come out for a walk with me in the afternoon, and we might go out for a meal.
(((Hugs))) to all in need, especially Narc0, Fayolle and YL xxx0 -
As usual, the day is running away with me! So far:
- Aldi trip
- 2 loads of washing on the line
- 2 dog walks done
- pie made for dinner
- floors mopped
- poo picked from lawn (there was more than I thought, will not let it get like that again)
- small bag of clothes gathered ready to take to CS
Not bad really to say I've been child free since 9am. I have very high expectations though of what I want to achieve and get cross when I run out of day!
Swimming lessons after school - deep joy - bags and snacks already packed.
YL - I'm sorry you're facing uncertainty with job no 2. Would I be right in guessing your DH's work is seasonal/weather dependent? If so, is there any way he could get a P/T job that would fit around what he currently does to ease the strain in you a bit? Apologies if speaking out of turn, you just always seem so fraught love xx
I'm allowing myself ten more minutes sat down before I get moving again. WM currently on a 90 degree wash as well xMFW
