Thank you Donna jt everyonr on this thread is so kind! Wavy Mexican border made me smile. A sleepless night and I still hate it in the morning, lots going on and this feels like the last straw. But we've kept on plan for him to do woodwork today and we can afford to get it redone so will wait at least until the weekend and decide. Can't imagine changing my mind though!

Such a shame and it is terrible when you've spent a lot of money - but at least it is fixable perhaps without too much more. I still strongly dislike my lounge curtains; I loved the fabric in the shop and, not knowing much about sewing, had assumed that the stripes were vertical. They were very expensive as they are full length at the front of the house and patio doors, so each end of the room. You've guessed it - when the seamstress brought them round, so beautifully made and carefully wrapped - the stripes were horizontal. Not her fault as apparently there was an arrow somewhere on the plan which indicated how the fabric hung. They are a beautiful colour, have lasted for years and a lovely fabric but I am so sad every time I pull them.

Did quite a bit of flying-type activity yesterday here and there. Probably not much more today after uni and between dance class!

Morning all (just!). I've put away dry washing and doing another load, loaded the DW and typed a report. That's it for now. Do plan to do more shortly!

  • Good luck to your OH Piggers x

Chuffed with my achievements so far:

    - chilli in oven for dinner
    - 2 dog walks
    - admin paperwork for DH done and posted
    - Laundry put away
    - DW emptied
    - Woodburner swept, cleaned and re-laid
    - LR dusted

Just about to have some lunch, then will crack on with ebay listings. A friend of mine said I looked tired today - that's the third time in a week someone has commented. I should look better with all this healthy eating and walking :rotfl::cool:

Good luck to your OH Pigpen :cool2:

I'm hoping to start following this once I've mended (stupidly fell down the stairs and very sore). Really need to get organised as with two teens and disabled dh, plus five animals the housework is building up again. I'm hoping this will help me and take some of the stress it causes.

    Pigpen, good luck to OH.

ATB how come you always seem to get so much done?!!

I've cleared all the stuff off the kitchen window sill, wiped it with a paper towel and then given it a good clean with kitchen cleaner with bleach. Then topped up the washing up liquid and fabric conditioner from the big bottles we got. Threw away some plastics. Emptied the science projects from the fridge. Finally wiped the white goods with a damp cloth. Please don't judge me but the kitchen was really a biohazard and it's a sign of my improving MH that I am able to do this now!

Now off to declutter a dog walk; Whiz is right by my side because I accidentally said the W word!!

Hi hun, I'm not very good at sitting still as I tend to overthink things and get a bit despondent, so I like to keep busy all day. I do like the house clean and tidy; it bothers me when it's messy so I just get cracked on.

Worn out now but need to galvanise shortly to pick DD up from sports club. DS and I had a wild windy walk home so we are both trying not to nod off!

    Have lovely evenings all x

I am going to have a small snooze as work was full on..
Will do a few more things before heading out with a friend for a couple of hours;)
