More (((hugs))) to you, Honey Bear. I feel exactly the same atm.
The sum total of today's flying was WMx1: a pair of walking shoes and a pair of trainers that I want to take on holiday at half term.
Otherwise this house is beginning to look like a dump. I shall ignore it again tomorrow while I try to finish off an annoying piece of paperwork which has to be done for church; and while this morning's discussion with my friend is still fresh in my mind, I want to write the draft outline for my essay; but I might manage some flying on Friday, or while DH is playing trains on Saturday. My diary for next week is nothing like as bad as it has been for the past fortnight.
DH and I have been out for his birthday meal this evening - usual place, usual menu, but always nice food, and good staff.
Pigpen, I keep meaning to ask, how is your DS1?0 -

Been waking up every so often since 4am thinking "what time is it? Did I put the alarm on" Went through a stage of doing this regularly a while back so hoping its not going to become a habit again.
So, apart from gazing at the beautiful moon and drinking coffee nothing yet done this morning. Some washing to take off airer and put in tumbler then paid stuff. Oh and I need to have a look at my finance spreadsheets.
Towels need washing, LR fire needs cleaning out. Better go and make DS a cup of tea and wake him up.0 -
Morning all,
Up slurping a brew and coming round
Hmm, so DH threw me a curveball last night, and I could do with my flyfriends advice as I don't want to discuss in RL. Secretly, I have been feeling broody on and off (but mainly on) for a while now. However, kiddies are almost 4 and 5 - life is much easier and youngest starts school in September. Anyway, DH had always said he didn't want another child so that was that.
Big U-turn last night - he has given it some thought and would love a third  So now I am thrown. I did the worst thing and googled "having a third child" and ended up reading loads of v unhelpful threads on other websites. Life IS so much easier now, and I have blocked sleep deprivation, weaning, nappies etc from my mind. But ultimately that baby will turn into a child (I am a bit rubbish at the baby bit, too unstimulating for me) which would be just amazing. Aagh. I don't know. I'm only 31 so have time on my side.
Sorry that is a huge witter. Flying? I'm off to unload DW :DxMFW

Ooh ATB....how exciting! I loved being pregnant (not so much the giving birth bit) and if I wasnt so elderly, I think I would like more. Hope you and hubby make the right decision for you both x
Need to read back as I fell off the wagon the past two days...
Hugs x0 -
ATB I can offer no advise what so ever, as I never wanted children, however I hope you and your OH make the right choice for you both x
Lunch made for work
I want to get on the scales as I feel thinner! but there is still loads of me to go, but an resisting until Monday

ATB wow what a turn around! My best advice would be to sit down and talk to DH and go with what your heart tells you. Yes, the baby stage is really hard work (and yes I'll say it was boring too) and I hated being pregnant due to really bad sickness BUT those stages really don't last long. You're young at 31 (almost 51 here!) so I guess my advice would be if you're both really sure go for it.
Yorkshire lass I keep waking too - lately it's been 1am, 3am, 5am and I end up like a zombie. Last night I kept coughing so got up at 3 am and slept on the sofa with the dog so I wouldn't disturb J. Seems to come in phases of not sleeping well doesn't it - can't offer any real advice. For me what helps is making sure I've had enough physical exercise during the day as that definitely helps.
Ionafan now I bet you your house is nowhere like as much a dump as this one is! If I was brave enough I'd take pictures but I'm not!! You have a lot on your plate at the moment so don't stress about it - housework will always be there (unfortunately).
Kids both at school now, I'm just about to finish off a report I started yesterday. I did too much typing and my arms hurt so I am beginning to know my limits. Plan is to send out invoice, clean, walk Whiz and we have Z's parents evening tonight plus S has Scouts. Can't believe it's February already .... where no earth did January go?

Not good. He is still not working which isn't helping. She stupidly gave in and went back, I think she got fed up of the school commute every day.. so we will have to do all this again at a later date.. but he knows we are all there to catch his fall now. He is hopefully getting back to work in the next week and that should help, he struggles just sitting at home and it causes more problems than ever.atypicalblonde wrote: »

You don't get financial assistance from the state for a third.. this is a massive issue for some families. Family tickets are for 2 adults and 2 children so added expense when going out. You will probably need a bigger car, 3 seats rarely fit in one row and they are going to need them for a long time. 3 is the hard number for many because that is the point they out number you.. and if you go out alone, you only have 2 hands.. everything changes at 3. Everything is geared towards 2 children.
However, do not be pushed into something you aren't 100% about doing.. who does the lions share of the childcare? If it is you then it is ultimately up to you whether you have that to give. My ex is a tool, he never helped, he never did anything helpful, I did it all... but the difference made when I got OH and he helps and is wonderful having Squeak when Quaver was nearly 6 was so much easier. Also, having 2 that much older they can help.. they can watch baby stays safe so you can go to the loo for example. but you also have school runs with a screaming baby in tow.. they don't always but sometimes they do.. and mine always poo at the time I have to leave and make me late. My ex liked me being occupied with a pregnancy or infant because it meant I was not wanting to do anything else, not challenging his extra-marital behaviour and not wanting to progress myself or having ambition.. he is intimidated by the fact I am cleverer than him and kept me 'in my place' .. now I am not for one second implying your OH is doing this.. but he might be a little shaken by your new independence and wanting things to stay the same and he thinks this is how.. children growing does change your personal relationship and you have to become friends and lovers again sometimes and remember all the things you love about each other.
Ultimately noone can tell you what is best for you.. and I'm the wrong person to ask. I never thought about any of this, I just loved being pregnant and toddlers are wonderful.
Girls away to school, OH off to the gym and Twinkle fed. Cuppa made and both WM's on..
Ebeasting planned.. I have pics added to the phone but there was an update a couple of days ago and it doesn't work properly now.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Mumof2.. I can promise you, your house is no worse than mine!! It is horrible, I don't know where to start or even if I have the mental energy to do so.. it is so draining and that in itself interferes with sleep.. I sleep so much better when the bedroom at least is tidy.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
