Happy Friday 🥂
Well I’ve made it into the office. There’s only me and one other person here, I don’t know him. It’s so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I’ve got used to having the radio on in the background.Don’t think I’ll bother again unless I really have to 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
A few of my team came in later so it got a bit livelier in the end. Sainsbury’s was disappointing clothes wise, just picked up a candle and a magazine. Nice to get back to my normal 22,000 steps walking there and back if nothing else. All in all it was ok, glad we now get 2/3 days WFH going forward, best of both worlds. Didn’t do any more or less work than I would at home. At least I don’t have to return until October now 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Was interesting to open my locker and find loads of best before October 2020 coffee bags. Tried a couple and they were fine so have brought them home to use up. I was expecting my water bottle to be a tad smelly but it was fine, will just need a good wash when I’m back properly.Forgot to put a sign on my desk to say it needs cleaning after use but guess I’m not the only one to forget to do this. So many things to remember. Also forgot to show my security pass to the security guard but he still let me in. I was kerfuffled with the mask and hand sanitiser malarkey and it wasn’t until I got to my desk I realised it was still in my bag 😱They do recognise me though from their experiences of letting me in the disabled entrance with my leg in plaster. I’m quite well known 🤣
Have brought home the books a colleague left me in our shared cupboard so yet more to add to my to be read list. A few of them were ones I gave to her but I’ll just pass them on to the charity shop.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I work in a large office with various sectors, you can tell the people who have been on furlough as they are the ones not following the rules, cleaning desks ,following one way system, mask wearing etc Just purely because it’s all new to them where as we’ve been doing it for past 18 months.I do think younger people need to get back to the workplace and mingle not good for them to be wfh all the time.6

There are 4,000 of us with no one on furlough we’ve all been WFH or in the office for mental health reasons/unable to maintain confidentiality for those on customer helplines and sharing accommodation. Personally the mix of WFH and in office is ideal for me. I need the interaction with colleagues but enjoy the convenience of WFH.
The kitchen area at work is the cleanest I’ve ever seen it in the 21 years I’ve worked there. I’m not joking, pre Covid it was disgusting, totally spotless now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Wow 4000 that’s a big place. We’ve not even been allowed to use the kitchen facilities since lockdown. We have a kettle/fridge on each floor, I don’t understand the logic we can all handle the kettle but not the microwave 🤷🏻♀️.I would love to work from home to.5

Happy Saturday 🥳🥂
I need to go the local shops today for a few bits. Got the hairdressers this afternoon, desperately in need of a trim, my fringe is so long it’s making Claudia Winkleman’s look short.Pizza and Prosecco tonight 😋I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
I painstakingly grew out my fringe, now I have no idea if I should cut it again. My hair is long enough that I can get away with trimming it myself with online tutorials…very MSE, but I’ll never be well groomed.I would love pizza and Prosecco! Enjoy 😋Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I’ve always had a fringe, cheaper than Botox 🤣 My hair is shoulder blade length so I just have the ends off and a bit of shaping round my face. I don’t do anything fancy with it 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
