21 years ago today I lost my lovely mum to a brain tumour, she was 71, not old nowadays. I have friends older than that in perfect health. On a lighter note went to Mr T after work to pick up Mr SA’s missing beer. It’s on offer in Mr T so picked up 4 boxes. He came to meet me with the dog to put them on his scooter and also to give the dog a good walk. He managed to knock one of the boxes off his scooter and the cans went rolling into the road 😐 Fortunately I retrieved them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Never a dull moment with Mr SA.

Happy September
Today will be NSD 1/12 of September. Decided to go for 12 as a target, don't want to be too ambitious 😆
Have been for a short run this morning, didn't wake up until 6.30, I'm usually out and running by then. I really must look sharp for getting up to go to the office on Friday. I used to get up at 5am at the latest to leave the house at 6.30.
The September FitOn challenge starts today. I'm also back to tracking on my WW app.
All feels very new fresh start of term time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

Your mum was very young. Very tough for you.
Will be interesting to see how the return to the office feels. At least you can try and fit in a wander without turning the corner and finding Mr SA waiting for you (well fingers crossed you can)5 -
I’m actually looking forward to it, not least in that I can finally visit a decent sized Sainsbury’s again as it’s just a few minutes walk from the office. I can’t promise I won’t come back without a few Tu bits 🤣 Their jeans are the best I’ve ever had, presuming nothing’s changed since 2019.
Also my colleague I swap books with is bringing in a few books for me and I’m bringing her in some too, although won’t be able to manage them all - there are quite a few. Not that I need any more books having 100 books currently on my to be read bookshelf 😆 I tend to get through one a week though. Mr SA says I have more books than time left to read them, hopefully not 🙏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
The return to work sounds as though it's full of potential. I would be heading back to my familiar shops, too, in your circumstances. DH went back to the office on a one-off visit last week. He was in a huge building which was nearly empty as his employer is very cautious about returning people to offices. He said it reminded him of a Stephen King film, I'm not sure which as I don't watch horror.
Enjoy all the books - I'm sure you will get through them with plenty of time to spare though your 100 books in line to be read made me feel a bit better about all those sitting on my Kindle, not to mention tons from my parents' house.
It does occur to me though that it would be sad to have read everything worth reading - thank goodness there are always more books to be discovered!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
