Happy Sunday 😎
Have been painting the woodwork in the spare room as I didn’t ask the painter to do it. I’m fine with woodwork if I take it steady. I’m not keen on the paint I chose, satin rather than gloss, it looks a bit patchy in places. I’ll see how it dries and go over it again tomorrow if it needs it. Saved a few £££ by doing it myself, I haven’t made a mess and it didn’t take long. Just need to give the floor a good clean and I can start moving things back. Need to order a curtain pole and voiles.I’ve made Mr SA take the dog out on his own while I have a coffee. Can’t believe he interrupted my painting to tell me it was time to take her out. He gets really impatient and once he’s decided to do something it has to be done now, he won’t wait. We’re supposed to be going to a charity gig at a local pub this afternoon. I thought it would be nice to sit with a drink and watch a band. There are stalls too. Mr SA isn’t that keen but I’ve made it clear I’ll go without him if need be because I really want to go.Must start thinking about September goals. August has been totally off piste. Spending/eating/drinking all needs to be reined in and I need to get back into my exercise regime. September will be a long month 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

We made it to see the band, they were really good what we saw of them as they were playing outside and all the tables were taken. They were an indie rock cover band, would definitely look out for them again if they were playing locally. The pub wasn’t great though, full of kids running about, reminded me of a caravan site clubhouse. We only stayed for one drink then came home. Nice to do something different though. We left the dog at home as she doesn’t always behave in pubs especially if she can smell food.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

I'm pleased you got out to enjoy the band although the venue could have been better. I'm of the age now that I would happily pay extra to sit in a child free zone! I was especially glad to read that you read the riot act to Mr SA and said that you would go on your own to the event if he didn't want to go. I note that he went with you in the end!😂Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

@Seasidegal58 it was the lure of a pint that swayed him 😆
Pleased to report the magic trousers ordered from Amazon fit as well as the ones I bought from the little boutique. They would be perfect to fly/travel in but let’s not go down that road 😆
I’m following the band on FB so will know if they’re in my area again, would definitely go.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
