Enjoy your day
Mr SA is a piece of work - I'm glad you can stand firm but wish you didn't have to. I expect you've honed your skills at this over many years. I don't think I'd tell him til the day.4 -

Sun_Addict said:I’m only worried about the dog to be honest. There’s no chance of anyone babysitting the dog, he would really kick off about that. He was like this before his illness. When the kids were little I rarely went out but on the rare occasions I did and he was babysitting he would disappear to ‘get petrol’ about 30 minutes before I was due to go out then be gone ages, either getting back just in time for me to leave or being slightly late, saying the ‘roads were busy’ 😐 He has promised me he won’t go but I know what he’s like when a seed is sown in his mind. I’ve made it clear to him that if anything happened to the dog whilst in his care he’d be looking at fending for himself because that would be me washing my hands of him for good. I’m serious about that because I’ve had enough years of it now.4

Have a lovely day. Can you put your phone on silent so he can’t pester every 5 minutes….try and put him out of your mind…..easier said than done, I know.
Loved the dog bone story….the bed was our fox terrier’s favourite burying place ……often toast crusts the children sneaked to him…..they could understand how we knew they given them to the dog under the table instead of eating them 😂😂January spends - £587.584 -
Thanks all 😊
I’ve had a brilliant day. We had a wander round the shops where my friend lives then went for lunch. We never stopped talking, I’ve got a sore throat 😆 I bought some magic trousers from one of the shops they are brilliant, so comfy and don’t need ironing which is a big bonus. My lovely friends paid for the food and drink and wouldn’t accept anything towards it, said it was a birthday present.I was a bit surprised at the train as I thought masks were compulsory. I was the only one wearing one so removed it. No seats taped off either so in theory anyone could’ve sat next to me. I walked to and from the train station to home so no buses involved and a good step count. My Fitbit is playing up, I only charged it the other day and the battery is flat again. Hope it’s not on its way out.Mr SA has been fine on his own. He only phoned me once when I was on my way home on the train and that was to tell me he’d bought a water bottle for £1.50.The dog has unearthed and re-buried that blooming chew stick in the garden 🙄 The cat was watching her so she moved it elsewhere and growled at the cat. The cat looked quite amused.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

That was very nice of your friends to treat you. Mr SA being on his best behaviour he obviously got the message.
We’re still wearing masks here in shops etc aswell, I though everywhere in the country was still to wear them on public transport or maybe just depends how busy they are 🤷🏻♀️ There’s been too many changes nobody knows what the rules are lol.
