I'm laughing at the dog's choice of hiding place. That's not going to end well is it?3

Unfortunately have an unforeseen domestic emergency in the form of the washing line snapping with 2 loads of washing on it 😩 So a new next thing on the to do list is buy a new washing line and inspect the damage to clean washing with the likelihood of having to wash it again 😐

The down-lights sound fabulous Cherry.Mr SA has started kicking off about me going out tomorrow after not saying anything initially. He said he was thinking about taking the dog to a park quite a long way from us that he’s never been to before as he doesn’t want to be stuck at home on his own all day twiddling his thumbs. Reminded him he’ll be on his own all day once I’m back in the office. He knows I’ll worry if he tries to get to this park, the roads are very busy near it and he rarely looks before crossing. Plus the fact he doesn’t really know where it is. Basically he’s trying to spoil my day by making me worry about what he’s up to 🤬
After that there ensued an argument about why can’t he have his driving licence back because he’ll never be able to go back to work without it - bangs head against brick wall in despair 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Oh SA XXXXX
!!!!!!!
that is just the definition of frustrating.
and unfair. Bloody unfair. This is horrendous but will he remember?
I am sorry. Everything I am coming up with sounds mean!!Nevertheless she persisted.4 -
SA my life mirrors yours in so many ways so you have my sympathy. Control freaks are not easy to live with and that's exactly what they are isn't it. It took me years and the loss of a dear friend who wasn't prepared to have our days out etc controlled by OH but I saw it for what it was eventually so now I let it go over my head. Whatever the reason they are like they are, they are adults so don't let it pull you down. If he mentions going to the park just say that's nice dear, have a good day. Bet he doesn't go.All that clutter used to be money4

Oh no SA, I would be so worried….for the dog! It’s a form of control. Could someone babysit the dog for you, so then you could leave him to his own devices?

I’m only worried about the dog to be honest. There’s no chance of anyone babysitting the dog, he would really kick off about that. He was like this before his illness. When the kids were little I rarely went out but on the rare occasions I did and he was babysitting he would disappear to ‘get petrol’ about 30 minutes before I was due to go out then be gone ages, either getting back just in time for me to leave or being slightly late, saying the ‘roads were busy’ 😐 He has promised me he won’t go but I know what he’s like when a seed is sown in his mind. I’ve made it clear to him that if anything happened to the dog whilst in his care he’d be looking at fending for himself because that would be me washing my hands of him for good. I’m serious about that because I’ve had enough years of it now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
