We went to France for a long weekend a few years ago. The place we went to no one spoke English. I started learning French from the age of 8 and did it to O level. It was tested to the max. Surprising how much you remember under pressure 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Bit late but happy Sunday 🥳
Summer has come back 🥳☀️
Took the dog for a longish walk to the golf course this morning. Have done some gardening this afternoon with a few sneaky breaks to read my book on my sun lounger. Lots of Spanish too as it’s the last day of the challenge and I’m still top of the leader board so far 💪 I’ll be glad when it’s done, I’m not getting this competitive with it again it’s too stressful 🤣 Mr SA says he feels like he’s in a Spanish cafe.NSD 2 of September today 🥳I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
So sad, another one taken far too soon, not a particular fan of Girls Aloud as such but like some of their songs, RIP Sarah Harding 😢 Blooming cancer 🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Yes it was so sad to hear the news about Sarah Harding. She was no age at all - should have had many years to look forward to. 😞Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Well done, I've been number 2 on the leaderboard but never 1. I've found it's helped my French enormously (it needed enormous help).
That reminds me, if I can't make up a couple of hundred points in the next hour, I'll be demoted to Obsidian League.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Monday
Well I managed to stay no 1 in the Duolingo Diamond League, I'm sure you'll all be relieved to hear that news 🤣🤣 It all starts again from scratch today, I'm not busting a gut this week, the plan is to stay in the league and not get demoted, that will do me.
Went for a 3.5 mile walk this morning before work. It was a lovely morning so very enjoyable. Will do a Fat Burn Cardio workout from the FitOn app after work and a dog walk at lunchtime.
It will be NSD 3/12 for September today, no plans to spend anything.
Today's cleaning task is the living room. Need to do a meal plan for next week and see what needs using up in the fridge/freezer/cupboards.
Checked finances and had a £4.54 underspend last week so that's gone into the Christmas pot which now holds £504.92 so not too far away from my target of £600.
Have a good one 😎
